Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    It’s a big game for…
Christian Benteke. Following a prolific spell at Aston Villa, Benteke didn't enjoy the happiest of times at Anfield. Clearly out of favour under Jürgen Klopp, he joined the Eagles in search of a regular starting place and having scored against his current club in the corresponding fixture last season, the Belgian will be hoping to return the favour on Saturday.

    Past three meetings…
Crystal Palace 1 (Ledley) Liverpool 2 (Firmino, Benteke), Premier League, March 2016
Liverpool 1 (Coutinho) Crystal Palace 2 (Bolasie, Dann), Premier League, November 2015
Liverpool 1 (Lallana) Crystal Palace 3 (Puncheon, Zaha, Murray), Premier League, May 2015

    Best stat…
The last eight games between these teams have failed to produce a single clean sheet.

    Nailed on 0-0;)

Worried about this one. We'll lose eventually and wouldn't be surprised if this was the one. It wouldn't be the end of the world because we've had a much better start than anybody was expecting but it would be good to keep the unbeaten run going.

    Today goes work-children's birthday party-work-this game-TOWN.

Don't like these 5:30 kick-offs away to mid-table opposition. Feels like another Burnley is on the cards, especially considering our poor recent record against Palace. A win today would be a big statement.

Must win obviously. Anything less than 3 points will not only be a missed opportunity but also a massive disappointment. Theres no reason we shouldn't be winning here, big chance to prove our inconsistency is behind us.

    3-1 Liverpool

Score an early goal then we are set I think.

I hope Liverpool get a couple of dodgy pens and a couple of offside goals just to wreck Pardew's head and watch him meltdown in the post match interviews.

2-0 Liverpool, win both halves. Lallana and Sturridge goals

....2.5 midfielders in the front 3 again.

Moreno is the obvious worry and no matter what the result I feel he'll be getting hounded after the game. Our attack needs to be on top form and finish the chances we get, can't be as wasteful as we were at West Brom when the opposition have a much more potent attack.

You say that as if it hasn't been working for us ALL season.

You say that like its been working for more than 9 games.

He won't get hounded as long as he doesn't keep getting caught out of position. It's that simple.

    2-2 with a Benteke brace.

Why do you look for arguments all the time? Just be happy we're doing well and United are still shíte.

Looks like he'll be getting hounded a lot so :p

I'd still love for him to improve but I just don't trust him to do it in the first team, I feel like he should have been playing for the u23s for the past few weeks.

Fecking BT Sport. Pain in the hole missing games because they're split over two pay channels.

Oh well, off to the pub I suppose.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,384 ✭✭✭✭Utopia Parkway

Liverpool will need at least 2 to win as with football being football, Benteke will surely score today.

Moreno blocked a ball he could have left so conceding a throw in.

The back two just split for Benteke, a better pas and he was in on goal, risky.
