    Hi guys,

I am not from Galway so I was wondering if anyone could help me? I want to know is there a bus service running from Renmore to Knocknacarra in Galway that would not mean having to change buses at Eyre Square?

I have been looking at timetables but it seems that any bus routes that include Renmore require another bus to be gotten at Eyre Square.

If anyone could shed some light on this I would greatly appreciate it! :)

The 402 starts at Merlin Park Hosptial, goes thru Renmore and out to Knockers.

But it goes to the other end of Knocknacarra. You could look at this route map to work out if where the 402 goes is close enough to where you want to be. http://www.galwaytransport.info/2012/02/bus-service-402-seacrest-knocknacarra.html

Alternatively if you're close to the city end of Renmore, you may be better to walk from there to Cemetery Cross, and pic, up the 405, which does to the WDR, there. Map here: http://www.galwaytransport.info/2012/02/bus-service-405-rahoon-knocknacarra.html

Thanks for the response Mrs Bumbles :) Those maps both look like they start at Eyre Square though, right? As in I would be getting one bus from Renmore to Eyre Square and then separate one out to Knocknacarra? Are there any buses that run from Renmore to Knocknacarra? Or does the 402 go out from Renmore to Eyre Square and then return via the Knocknacarra rd? :) Sorry for all the questions - just trying to clear this up in my head.

Cemetery cross to the 405 bus sounds fairly handy, so the 405 runs from there? :)

The 402 goes from Merlin Park through to Shangort Rd, outside Joyce's. You could walk up Clybaun Road to the WDR. It does a little scenic detour through parts of Renmore between GMIT and Duggans shop.

Can I ask how long it would take to walk from Clybaun in Rd to WDR? I assuming it stops on the Clybaun road. 10-15 minutes? Thanks for the replies :)

Those maps start at Eyre Square, cos it was too much to put the full route onto one map. But both routes are thru routes: the 402 from Merlin Park and the 405 from Ballybane.

The summary map might be helpful for understanding how things work: http://www.galwaytransport.info/2008/12/summary-map-galw-ay-city-services.html

It's a 5 minute walk from 402 stop at joyce's to WDR. Road intersects WDR at roundabout beside clybaun hotel. It's then about another 5-7 mins walk to retail park from clybaun roundabout
