Been dry here most of the day, I know we’re not getting the worst of this either but it’s wet and windy now, feels like autumn :(

It's honestly like Halloween here tonight - wet, windy, dark and cold. Still no stock out here for another few days I guess- god it'll be may before the cows get out for anyone in this area this year- shocking

    A real winter's evening here.
I travelled through 4 counties today and very little cattle anywhere to be seen in fields. It's getting serious now.

    Sh1te

Heavy showers since early morning yesterday, which turned into torrential rain since about 11 this morning, and it's still at it.

Dirty bastard of a night after a day of torrential rain. Blowing straight up from the south

I think all the fert I spread over the weekend will be growing more kelp in Galway bay than grass. Some washout :(

Can we not just catch a break more like an October gale than April

This rain is going on longer than forecast. Neighbour text me just now, that he dumped the rain gauge a at 11. It had 24mm in it and its still pelting down now.

Just in from checking a cow it's one of the roughest nights of the winter. Cold very wet and very windy. Came in soaking and the cow's are in, wouldn't like to be out with a lamp calving outside.

We must be close to the 50mm of rain down here. A combination of a heavy flood in the river and a high tide sent me out this evening to drive sheep up from the river. Streams of water running down the fields pools of water everywhere. Roads flooded but passable. Electricity wavering but holding.
Twas raining at half 6 this morning when I got up and there hasn't been a single break in it. Fairly wintery houre of a night.

Made alot of rain last night , pools in the fields again this morning . Awful hard for grass to grow in this weather , even though the place is greening up well there is nothing bulking out .
Even if there stock grazing it would be running through them with this wet cold weather
