Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Dry and sunny with ground cracked open as has become normal this year.

Check out the weather from the 1700's.
    Especially 1714.

Reading through that puts a bit of perspective on our current weather. Looks like we'll just have to get on with it.

Years ago I was selling a car on auto trader. A fella from Cavan and his missus viewed twice on different days. For the second view, I was certain they were going to buy. But alas not. Thinking back, I believe they were on their Sunday drive and they had a hobby getting people's hopes up.

Misting here this morning and cooler so the water troughs might get a chance to refill again.

Bit of drizzle in the NW this morning, overcast and trying to rain here, don't think it will though.

I presume everyone knows about the rain forecast for the northern half of the country Tuesday evening/Wednesday?
    Well you do now.

Then the forecast breakdown next week.
It looks like an ex hurricane might help in the breakdown next weekend. This is what the models are showing atm.

That's a bit far away but the rain in a few days looks fairly certain especially could be torrential in the northwest.

For a few minutes there we got about 4 drops of rain

Misty spurrin here in NW Last night I thought it would dampen things.
When I was moving fence this morning the surface was still dust. It doesn't even darken the top.

It's hard to know at this stage and these things always come down to a nowcast situation.

    You might be lucky.

Had to dig up a pipe this morning. Over a foot down and the soil was bone dry. Top soil like dust....
