Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Rain wouldnt wet your shirt at home today according to boss lady. Was in Donegal working and started raining rightly from Claremorris up to Letterkenny. Once i was passed Tubbercurry then the burnt look started to fade off the land/verges. Lashings of grass on diaplay even on dry looking land. The north west may be exporting bales yet. ;)

Got a good heavy shower this evening while topping the reseed

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,739 ✭✭✭✭Say my name

There was a shower on the mountain this morning. Even though I was south of it and the general wind at cloud level from the west I still got a blast of cold air from a downdraft coming directly from the shower. So the wind changed to a northerly from that shower at ground level. But alas no rain for mise.

Met Eireann is giving 20mm for here on Friday. Not 2 but 20!!
That would solve a fair few problems.
    Better come now.

There's snow on the mountains where the tour de France is currently going through.

    I see that.
Anyone any idea who they were and what that was about?
Police are taking a tougher line on protests now it seems. Especially with their national sporting event which gets broadcast all over the world.

It seems it was about a cut in aid.
Local farmers wanting a meeting with the minister for ag.

If the bales didn't stop the race. The sheep were to be the back up.

Please god that comes. I've 2 bags of 18 6 12 for every acre on the milk block on the way. I'll be going out with it on Saturday if this rain comes

I've every bit of ground covered these last few days.
If it doesn't come I may as well shut up shop in farming. :pac:

Carlow weather on twitter wouldn't have you too optimistic as to what levels of rain we are going to get

Carlow weather might be a bit too cautious or maybe I'm a bit too desperate.

It's giving it on yr too for whatever that useless piece of weather app is.

Just have to wait and see.

It has to break sometime and that's just from a purely unscientific desperation hope.

The Mother was telling me of a similar period came to an end with serious thunder showers in the eighties, dad was milking when the lightning started he stopped up got the cows out of the parlour and the power went as they were walking out. Similar to the lightning we had here last autumn apparently

What apps are people finding best for local forecast. Find rte annoying at moment. Saying rain in west and warm and dry in east. What about those in middle. Or do they know

Windy.com is not a bad sort of local app.
You've the choice of 4 models on it.
So you can figure out the probability for yourself.
