Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Looking for a few dry days here in the south west to make some bales. Ground still In great order and growth rates very strong. 10 miles east have had virtually no rain.

Raining here again this morning, did a good bit last night too, ground getting wet now

Pissed rain last night and it’s at it again now floods in some fields

Same here, the north south difference this year is fairly extreme. Looks like rain showers all weekend for northern areas.

probably bales for our second cut now as the contractor will only chew up our hilly fields with his big feckin trailers. Cut some of it two weeks ago and got 10 bales/acre, quality fairly gone from it now.

Absolutely lashed rain here this evening some torrential stuff. That’s the fourth heavy bout of rain we’ve had here in last few days. It’s a long time since we had any decent weather. It’s hard to believe parts of the country crying out for rain and it can’t stop raining round here.

Now I know where all that rain is going:

    BXjqO2t.jpg

Even the rushes are suffering from lack of water, a few heavy showers the last day or two but land can still take a lot more in this part of Limerick.

Land is the very same in the Midlands

Mostly a wet day here today.

Wet and quite windy here. Cool tonight with a real Autumnal feeling in the air.

I wonder what's the chance of an Indian Summer?

There's a large kink in the jet stream over Alaska atm.

By the time it moves over to us here it could get fixed in any position.
50/50 chance of very wet and cold or very dry and ?

    (British met office's opinion).

Heavy rain last night stopped with 2 hours now. Wouldn't mind if the swallows would fcuk off now, 8 of the fcukers tearing around the parlour every day. Wasn't bearable with 4 of them edit 10 not 8

Poured rain here all morning, has cleared now but it put the hox on slurry that was supposed to go out.

Ground here turning soft quickly and lots of days rain in the forecast.

It looks like the WEG in Tryon, North Carolina is going to get bad weather as hurricane Florence is due. I have a friend there competing for Team Ireland and I hope everyone remains safe over the next few days and they don't have to evacuate.

The new list of storm names for 2018/2019 were announced a few minutes ago. Hopefully none of them are required.

Two Scandinavian names snook in there.
Ragnar and Floki for next year. ;)

Seemingly we could be getting our own ex hurricane next Tuesday.

Land is border line soft now, just about holding out, good day today in NW.
Was reading about the hurricane due in the US on the BBC site yesterday there was another article that mentioned of a 70% chance of same conditions as winter 15/16 which apparently was mild.

Current estimates are saying that it will hit the south east, and should bring lots of rain, yay!!! But that is nearly guaranteed to totally change over the next few days, it's too early to tell.
