Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

A horrible morning. Cold, wet and windy. It's been a brutal September so far. Ground getting soft now.
What I wouldn't give for a heatwave now!

First day I could drive fast across fields without hitting my head on the roof of the tractor.

Must head out now and try to level some of the ruts from slurry last spring.

Better make it quick, the tide is turning very quickly down this direction anyway. You'll have the place nice and level just in time for abit of poaching.ðŸ˜

Lots of people without power for a third day around here.
Luckily ours was only off for six hours on Wednesday.

We were helping a neighbour with a calving at 3.30am and it was 4.5 degrees according to the gauge in the jeep. Heavy rain and a cold stiff wind this morning but the sun came out in the afternoon - body warmer on / body warmer off type weather.

Looks like staying relatively dry for the next 7 to 10 days. Chilly to night.

The sun is splitting the stones here but it's taking its time warming up. Still only 9 degrees here.

I took this yesterday. It should be a stream but since it hasnt flowed since it dried up during the summer. It’s more like a collection of small puddles right now

Christ what a day. Would do your heart good. Clear blue skies. Lovely sunshine. Silage wilting nicely. And were only a week from October. Tis amazing how much more contented cattle are compared to last week, not to mention ourselves.

Over cast with a threat of sunshine. The odd patch of blue sky breaking out. More importantly remaining dry.
