Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I think N tipp should have got one as well, first time to have 'the pond' back this winter.

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

Same here whelan. Wasn't worth the effort putting them out and having them standing at the gap from noon on. Should be grand tonight though.

Anyone know why half of Munster is not being covered by the rainfall radar at the moment.

18mm here yesterday and about 8 today so far and no yellow weather warning in this area, must be bad where there is a weather warning

22mm here so far today, it's been raining since 6.30 am.

Today isn't half as bad as it was supposed to be (n. Cork). Now it still rained don't get me wrong but that band of rain came down the centre of the country rather than Clare/Kerry/Cork like was forecast with the yellow warning.

    Yellow isn't a warning, it's an advisory
We farmers don't like yellow because all rain is bad even 9mm at this time of year if you're borderline in or out with the cattle
Advisory for 25 to 40mm though which is a lot of rain anyway
Lashing here now,was only spits or dry most of the day

Wow.met.ie has dozens of weather stations and you can really see where the totals are
Noisy on the roof rain here in bursts atm

Yes mother nature is trumping met models as to where exactly the persistent rain is
No shannon radar is not helping glasnevin cope either

We had heavy rain last night on and off here in Cork, few showers then 7 to 10, but was a dry day then...
Would have said it was a good enough day really...

Much the same here, Reggie. From a light drizzle to a heavy downpour, didn't stop all day.

I just need tomorrow fine. Have a field of maize to get out. Ground conditions are fair. Plenty rain here since last Friday. It can be piddling away on Wednesday and it will be.
