Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

So much for Glas traditional hay meadows in July. More like rotting carpets now and no sign of the weather improving

Always wondered. What is done with grass that has lodged? Is it still somewhat ok for silage and would a farmer be even interested in it?

    Rained for 2 days straight.

    16mm today.
Hoping to get the hay cut this weekend. Glad it's not my problem :)

Raining non stop so spent the last few days power washing. Yard looks great and sheds ready to house cattle soon if this keeps up.

Rain overnight last night and hasn’t stopped all day, 12c so it not even like a summer shower either.

Not a drop here in the south. A good drying day in fact with a strong breeze.

I think you sent the misty rain to Donegal.
It lasted all day - on and off

Lovely morning in north Galway. Was a horrible day and night. Seen an awful lot of hay knocked on my travels yesterday. The drought saved me from Hay this year as we had to strip graze those fields. Every cloud has a silver lining i guess. Hopefully they get 3 or 4 days now to get it saved.

Absolutely cracking day here in Kerry.

Sun blazing down, light breeze and not a cloud in the sky.

You can see the grass growing today:)
