Yeah, there's been some amount of rain this last four months here too. I've never seen land so wet for so long.

It'll have to change soon, as I've been saying since October:o

Walked through crops Saturday looking at them towards this time last year they are back back on last spring ground is swimming .

32°C here now and 16°C at night. Humidity is pretty high which is the biggest killer.

It's very hard to believe all the snow reports and pictures from all over the country.
We had a bit of rain last night. But the Sun is shining here all morning and there's a drying wind out now.
Cows are back out grazing again today.
Ground conditions in that paddock are fairly good.

There's not even any snow or a hint of it on the blackstairs mountains.

    Cavan.
Yesterday morning (friday ) almost 2 inches of snow. Roads clear by 3pm, except the few usual places that don't get the sun.
I see a people carrier on it's side down in a field at one notorious spot.

    Raining non-stop at the moment.

Ground just swimming, water running off it in waves.

Same here, still drizzling. Three tanks ready to overflow. Worst thing about this working craic, I could have tipped out with a few load in the frosty mornings earlier in the week. Contractor is on top of his head. Talking about next week sometime

Home farm is too wet for umbilical system. Contractor is going to spread on outfarm with tanker. Land much drier there. It's almost a month since the closed period ended and feck all chances of getting out. Rang lime contractor in November and still not spread

Beautiful here now and sunny and warm

    I was wrong!
    10.7c here
12mm rain since midnight so ground is greasy

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,353 ✭✭✭naughto

    That time of the year.

    It's 11c.
Grass regrowths after the cows grazing.

    I wouldn’t mind the hoof prints,those aren’t bad
Get as much grass into them on the days you can
Topped out at 12.1 c here in Wicklow but that 12 mm rain wasn’t helpful
Bit of a shock to the system again tomorrow by the looks of things

Some serious rain falling up around Lough Neagh at the moment.

I'm not measuring the rainfall here.
Well I suppose I am in my own way. There's a bit of a grass hollow behind a shed and if it's empty the cows go out and if there's water in it they stay in.
They only go out for about 3 hours most days anyway so any damage is minimal.
I'm not really following the weather forecast as much anymore but using my water in the grass hollow guide. :p
Whatever comes I'll manage but thanks for the heads up.

I can safely say on this forum "I hope we don't get cold weather and snow from this SW." :D
