You're in west cork Yeah? Had the snow and wind no lightning tho. Gone clear out now you'd nearly think morning was about to break. You can see with a small wind the way the snow deposits only a few inches in the open yard and could be a foot then elsewhere. Getting parlour going will be fun in the morning

Yeah Kilbrittain area. If the power isn't back by morning I'm going to have a man ringing looking for a gennie to be rigged up. About 7ish is his usual start. Spent this evening thawing pipes and rigging up temporary pipework for parlour and troughs for another man. Coming home around 11pm and there's some snow on the roads. Some nice deposits due to the wind.

Funny little country. I'm outside Mallow surrounded by green fields, temp down to -5 alright but little to no snow

-1 down here, no sign of snow and the sun is splitting the stones. Roads are grand and dry. The little woman is fierce disappointed that there's no snow.

Outside thermometer got down to -8c last night

    Current reading -5c

Only light snow lying. Clear blue sky sunny no wind. Would be a good spring day only for the cold.

-2 here with a nice dusting of snow. It's very dry so at the moment not slippy. Walked to see cattle on outfarm and they are contented looking. Left extra silage yesterday in case tractor couldn't get to them. School is closed today and tomorrow and I've also been told not to go to work so 'tis out building snow persons we will go.............

Just started to snow here in North Tipperary. The flakes are fairly big so it looks like the fun is about to begin.

Temp is -1.5 here at the moment. 3-4 inches of snow lying on the ground. Snowing lightly for most of the morning. All schools closed. No frozen pipes thank God. Mountbellew area, North East Co. Galway.

Constant east wind and snowing all morning blizzard conditions already

    Serious east wind blizzard.
Snowing steadily and wind whipping up snow of the ground and whipping it about.
It’s no fun to be out in at all.

Any idea when? Plus which direction will the wind come from?

The wind will be coming from the east and the blizzards will be moving up from the South.

Calm enough here on the south coast. Lot of dark clouds though. Didn't really snow since early morning. Very cold though. That howl in the wind is horrible.

I have two out they are rugged up, have hay and are fine. Just back in from feeding them course mix. Water trough and pipes are frozen so I put out a plastic tub and topped it up with buckets of water from the house. They are sheltering now at the hedge.
