Winds have picked up here in North Tipperary over the last hour with snow becoming more heavier and persistent.

Very little snow around here. Bit of a drift wind that's about it. Don't know where there getting this metre of snow.

It seems ME were on about orographic lift that is rain or snow buffering up against a mountain and dumping it before it makes it over. So any land on the windward side gets extra precipitation than normally if there were no mountains there.

According to the radar there's something heavy (rain or snow) heading for Cork atm.

Absolutely no snow here at all, either yesterday or today. Wind picked up since about 5. I went for a run this evening along the sea and I was a minute a mile slower against the wind than with it and that’s about all the drama there is here for a change. Keep safe y’all.

Still snowing away here. Sure what else would it be doing? :D Dry powdery stuff during the night but bigger wetter flakes now. Not as cold as yesterday.
Going to be some mess when it thaws.

1C here now and thaw on. Rds are slushy now. Will be seriously slippy if freezes on top of it

Thawing near Dublin Airport, light sleet / rain falling thank fck.

I couldn't believe it when they said on the news the shear amount of area the runways take up..... 600acres! That's some amount of area to keep cleared!

According to the radar there's a big clump of rain heading for Wexford off the sea from the southeast.
Whatever is going to happen now when it reaches land is another story?

Snow mostly gone here and land not too sticky after it. Might be able to get a few loads out this week.

    Must say normality is fantastic.

This is reminiscent of the dec 2010 thaw. Unreal to think that all the machines and ingenuity that man could ever invent working at full pelt will never shift snow like Mother Nature.

30°c here today. Would have like to be at home looking at the snaps but hard to leave a BBQ in the evening and a few bottle's :D

It’s not here in south Wicklow unfortunately

The rain Stephens day 2010 overnight cleared most of the snow here
Today the fields are still full of snow
Not a bit of green to be seen
Up the hills are in a bad way
