The Bank Holiday movie is no more :(

This evening the first of two programmes about An Taoiseach, Enda Kenny will be broadcast, Enda: Last man Standing @ 9:35pm. The second installment, Enda: Staying Power will be shown tomorrow evening.

TG4 are having a party tonight to celebrate their 20th Birthday (9:30 - 11:30pm) so I might have to record the bauld Enda, I'll see how I fare with the trick or treaters first

As he reaches the twilight of his long political career, this major new two-part documentary series goes behind the headlines to examine the enigma that is Enda Kenny, charting the remarkable rise and fall, and rise again, of Fine Gael's first leader to win successive terms as Taoiseach.

Enda Kenny led his party and the country through the greatest economic crisis in its history but suffered a bruising defeat in the 2016 General Election and then bounced back to lead an unprecedented minority administration.

This new documentary series tells the remarkable story of his rise from obscure Mayo TD to national leader in a time of crisis. Dismissed as a lightweight by his opponents, hailed by his allies as a man of steel, Kenny is the Taoiseach that few people can claim to really know.

Presented by Pat Leahy, the series includes revealing contributions from Enda Kenny's closest associates, cabinet ministers - present and past - and his political rivals. http://www.rte.ie/tv/programmes/enda.html

outrageous that licence- fee is being spent on this programme , from the interview with the producer on Marion Finucanes radio show , this will have a veneer of being objective but it'll be a transparent as mud .

I believe Fionnuala Kenny is a big asset to Enda. It should be remembered that they met in Leinster House while she was working as a press secretary to Charles J. Haughey. She understands the world of politics but she can do spin having worked as a Public Relations Specialist for years. She was also employed in RTE as Head of Public Affairs for a time, I would imagine, having a few contacts in Donnybrook can't be a bad thing.

    This is very dull....

No private island, no charvet shirts, no mistress, no fancy dinners in Le Coq Hardi

Will someone please pass on an urgent message to Ivan Yates.

Ivan - We need you back on the wireless, Colette Fitzpatrick, Paul Williams and Shane Coleman are wrecking our heads in the morning.

The programme about Enda was beyond awful. I have no idea how they're going to fill tomorrow night's installment.

I'm an hour into watching 'The Choice 2016' (the documentary about Clinton & Trump), so far, I'd highly recommend it, it gives interesting insights in the backgrounds of both candidates. It should be on the RTE player for anyone who wants to check it out.

I've seen more exciting episodes of Xpose. Usually this type of serious political biog has the ability to make even an amoeba seem half-interesting, but not our Enda. For me, he's always been an accidental Taoiseach - a sort of living embodiment of The Peter Principle; and tonight's programme reinforces that view.

I thought Ivan was supposed to be wandering the highways of the United States!! I wonder is he secretly still here in Ireland.

It's hard to believe Enda was a hard drinking party animal with loads of wimmen chasing him :)

Strange end to the show with simply lot's of clips of people telling us that Enda is simply lucky.

Mr. Cowens brother Mr. Cowen offering his opinion. I have no idea why he was picked to offer his opinion. No attempt to hide bias. A relatively no mark TD related to our former bumbling leader has insight on leader?

Wallace telling us that he was a good leader of the Party but not a good leader of the country. But tell us Wallace who you'd chose. Gap-filling nonsense. Which is I'm sure what they'd call Enda. But how far back do you actually have to go to find a better leader?

A show that didnt need to be a 2 parter!

if you want to fill a gap stick on a film, It must be they had a few hundreds left over in their factual department that they needed to use up
