Closest would be Mothman's in Ashford (a couple of miles inland)...http://www.wicklowweather.com/...I see he has recorded a gust of 44mph. I assume you could add at least 10mph (being conservative) for coastal locations.

After a dry(ish) interlude, rain has returned here (in Dublin 16). 3.9c atm.

I think wind direction and land shelter might be a factor in these readings.
There's a lot of trees around Johnstown castle (not 100% sure of weather stations site). The wind is northerly so it could be a factor.
Would Belmullet be more exposed to a northerly wind from the sea.

Buoy M2 is showing 33 kts gust 46kts.
Buoy M5 wind speed 30 kts gust 41kts.
Kinsale Energy wind speed 36 kts gust 44kts. (But that's not at sea level)

Heavy overnight frost with a season min temp of -0.9c recorded. Fog which wasn't that dense starting to clear a little. Current temp 1c with sun trying to break through the fog.

Sunny bright morning here near Tralee, frost ( got down to -1.4C ) cleared quickly in the sunlight . Cloud began to fill in around the early afternoon. Got up to 9.6C ( highest temp in 11 days ). Currently a steady 7.7C and feels like the bit of warmth from the day is trapped under the cloud.

Got up to a relatively mild 10.9C here near Tralee ( remained mild overnight only getting down to 6.3C before the temp rose again around 09.00). Cloud stayed around much of the day mixed with sunshine, quite pleasant really.
