    Hi

Could anyone recommend a good 20" boys bike or a good shop in north Dublin to get one? I'm not mad about Halfords and would Iike to spend a few quid and get my son a decent one.

    Thanks

    Mick

My neighbour and fellow club mate is selling this.

Honest to God it's mint. His kid is friends with mine and the bike was never used!

+1 on the frog bikes. My daughter had a 20" model since she was 6. She's nearly 9 now and she's got a 24" Orbea MX Team a few months ago which I'm quite impressed with. They look nicer than the frogs bikes. Gears are actually better spec than the frogs. Weak point the brakes could be a little better. They're not bad just not as good as the tekras on the frog. I'm going to upgrade them which will be cheap enough though I'm debating going mad and getting discs brakes as the frame and fork has the mounts but that means replacing the wheels too! My six year old is on the 20" frog now but she's nearly as tall as her sister so I might not be long before having buy another,

Seems to be two Orbea dealers in Dublin Rothar in Phibsborough and Little Sports Fairview. Stags in Lucan do them too. Word of warning my LBS had bother getting the model I wanted early in the year. Apparently Orbea concentrate on the Christmas market for kids bike. You should be ok now though.

Another +1 on the Frog bikes, got one for my daughter and it is the mutts nuts. That said for €130 the linked Giant looks like great value for money if it is a suitable size, and they're a very solid brand.

    This is my choice:

    https://www.islabikes.co.uk/products/bikes/item/beinn-20-small

My son currently has a cnoc16 and I have a beinn 20 small put away for when he out grows it. They are a lot cheaper now with the weaker Stg.

Thanks, I presume you can't buy them this side of the border?
