FTB with cash & 20l tax rebate

    Hi -- does a first-time buyer, with NO mortgage (i.e., cash buyer), qualify for the tax rebate introduced in this year's budget, in any way?

    Hard to find any official info on it online.

    If someone replies, can you cite the source of your info? Thanks :D ...

    No one of the conditions is that you have a mortgage of min 70 percent?

    Theoretically, could someone take out a 70% mortgage, Apply and get the tax rebate and then pay off the mortgage as one lump sum. Or is there penalties for doing that?
