Issue with Windows 8 tablet. Cant log in

    Hi guys i have a issue with a windows 8 tablet that used to be my dads and he forgot the password so i went and reset it and connected to my network and i cant go into it at all so i can wipe and sell it.

    I am wondering what is the best way around this and how to fix the issue ?.

    if it is a microsoft account it can be done easily from another pc,

    however if its a local user account, then its not so easy, and you may end up resetting the tablet, if you cannot access a windows boot usb disk etc.

    as the pc person in my family circle, i recommend setting up 2 accounts, a local admin account that isn't used and picking a password you will remember in 2 year time, and setting up your dad or any other user with their own profile.

    Ended up reseating the tablet after all pain to get into the settings and get the screen to support 2 buttons at a time. thanks away.
