UFC 205 - Official Predictions

    This will be a points-based prediction contest. It will help not to clog up the other threads as well.

    Rules:

    3 points predicting correct winner
    2 points predicting correct method of victory
    3 bonus points predicting correct round of victory (in event of stoppage)

    i.e. If Woodley v Wonderboy goes to a Woodley decision win = 5 points. If Woodley KO's Wonderboy in Round 3, then 8 points for predicting it.

    Agreed. It's a good idea but the pick em league does exactly the same thing without the hassle of any of us having to total up the scores. Just join that lads. A new season will be starting in January.

    I'll total the scores myself for everyone.

    It's for anyone not in the league, casual MMA fans etc, so we don't have the main threads clogged with picks.

    It's a big enough event to warrant it.

    Surprised some people are picking Alarez by decision.
    Can either see mcgregor winning early or gassing out and Alvarez subbing him or knocking him out.
    Be very surprised to see it go the distance, Alvarez is a much more aggressive fighter compared to Diaz he won't give Conor a minute if Conor can't tko him

    I can see the logic in it. If Eddie sticks to a wrestling/grinding down game-plan then they'll both be pretty exhausted by the later rounds if it goes that far and he' could get the decision from the takedowns. I don't think Eddie is good enough on the ground to get a submission in this
