    Hi folks,

I'm looking for fantasy series suggestions, something along the lines of Robert Jordan, Robin Hobb, Raymond E. Feist.

I feel like I've read all the really great ones! Any suggestions welcome.

    Thanks.

Brandon Sandersons Mistborn trilogy. Well written and a excellent societal structure setup as a background.

I tried the first Mistborn book. There's something about his writing style that doesn't appeal to me. Maybe the series gets better.

I thought he did a brilliant job finishing The Wheel of Time, and had expected the Mistborn to be a lot better.

    Thanks though.

You might prefer his stormlight archive series. They're more like his handling of Wheel of Time.

Anthony Ryan Blood Song is well worth a read.
Peter Brett The Painted Man is another good starter to a series.
John Gwynne's Malice is another great epic fantasy along the lines of What you mentioned.
Brian Staveley's series is also with a look.
Patrick Rothfuss' Name of he Wind is really good too.

If you're looking for a slight change of pace, try Joe Abercrombie or Mark Lawrence. Maybe even Glen Cook's Black Company.

Best fantasy books I read recently were The Curse of Chalion and it sequel from Lois McMaster Bujold. She mostly known for Sci-fi books but I really enjoyed these two.
