Trump knew the journalist, he has had about 12 interviews in the span of several years with the man.

And Kovalevski wrote about allegations about Muslims celebrating and a police response to that, not that they did or did not do it.

Kovalevski never said they celebrated. He said police investigated allegations of them doing it and questioned some people. It then became clear that Trump's claims of Muslims celebrating in New Jersey were unfounded, something which he has never apologised for and which is a downright idiotic thing to say.

Trump did know the reporter prior to his comments, as has been proven.

How could Trump not have been mocking disability ? Is he somehow incapable of doing so ?
