How would we line up after Zlatan is the big question for the future if we do get Greizmann?

Griezmann to be the superstar signing and then hopefully 3 or 4 signings with Carrick replacement top of the list.Realistically United imo need a CM ,CB and RB this summer .4 or 5 signings with a few players leaving.

The latest being it has been agreed he will wear the number 7 shirt, one can question the veracity of the claims, but it is like an open secret at this stage.

It is like how Pogba was saying months before he rejoined United about how he absolutely loves Manchester.
Griezmann was saying how he would like to play club football with Pogba.

It passes the time, the dreams that most want to be reality.

I don't think that is a reflection on modern football, as for our mismanagement of decent players.

In the chaotic game of football, one of the absolute truths we know, is that not rejuvenating a squad year to year, will result in complacency and inevitably regression. The minor regression post success coupled with the desire to improve from rivals creates a chasim. We see this all the time.

It's a rare breed to find a player or players who can win trophies and experience success and yet keep themselves motivated and hungry year on year, season on season. That is why typically they are the great players.

The greatest clubs in modern times all have lots of legacy players who have been there for years and years. Our team from the late 90's to late naughties, That Barca team, Real a little later and then Bayern. All had players who were there as the core of the team year on year. We need to get to that point but it'll take time.

Good business on those two.. really hope we push on trying to sign Bakayoko.. give him time to settle and learn off Carrick for the rest of the season and then we won't have as many new faces in the summer

I really don't think we'll buy anyone this January but would still love a player to come in unexpectedly.

Remember the excitement after I think it was his second or third competitive game for the club against Brugge in Old Trafford when Depay ripped them a new one. Hard to believe we had already witnessed his high point at the club.

Great couple of deals received for players obviously not part of the managers plans. Very un United type fees too.

I'm still holding out hope for a left field type deal that hasn't been linked to date but it is an extremely difficult window to operate in.
