Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

You were wrong to claim that Martial has generally always been in a wider role for us

    No I'm not.

    Good lad. Keep pretending.

Here's the games where Martial played as a striker, centrally for United in that period:

    PL:
    Southampton away
    Sunderland home
    Arsenal away
    WBA home
    Leicester away
    West Ham home
    Bournemouth away
    Stoke away

    CL:
    PSV away
    Wolfsburg home
    CSKA home
    PSV home
    Wolfsburg away

That's 13 out of the 20 games he played in those competitions in that period.

We need a win simply to try and build momentum, I would consider staying in the competition almost secondary in terms of the bigger picture.

    Pitch looks well.

This competition is probably our only chance of CL football next season so we definitely need to win.

Mourinho's team selection will tell you that too.

Yeah. I'd rather not be in this but can't really afford another bad result.

What a finish. Love the confidence he is playing with

Best I have seen from Rooney for some time.
He made a blistering run down the wing to make that
    Pace returned??

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,330 ✭✭✭Dwarf.Shortage

Lads he actually looks like Wayne Rooney he's even after dinking the keeper, if he gets back into form and we get another 2-3 years out of him as a top player it will be f**king amazing.

To be honest I'd written him off but there's very very positive signs the last 2 weeks.

I think his hands were and I'm 99% sure the rule has changed to any body part being in an offside position is offside.

I missed all but the last 10 minutes of the first half, what's Mickey been like so far?

Playing some good stuff, still look very nervous defensively

After 2 years of watching him float around central midfield kicking 40 yard passes that made no improvement to the attack I'm just delighted to see him look dangerous again. I'm not saying he'll ever score 30 goals again but it would be nice to be able to stop wishing he was sold.

thought it was only any part of your body you can score with? anyway, dont really care, hope he was offside, we got no luck all season

Except for the ones that led directly to goals.

Used to be but I think that changed over the summer.

I love the fact that we bullied our way to getting that goal!

He looks fitter and sharper and closing down balls all over place.

Thought Mickey put in a good shift in the first half. Some nice moments, particularly the move with Rooney at the start. He's not going to be roy of the rovers straight off the bat coming into the team so think he's done well so far.

Pogba is coming along nicely now.

We are playing some really nice stuff.

    Crisp, fast, one touch passing.

Kagawa Mk II having a great second half, love him to get a goal.

He is rampant, that's how he played for BD last season, he can make a huge, huge difference to our attacking play. Gives us an option from midfield we havnt had for years.

Football has been consistantly good but the issue remains. We need to score more and finish off teams
