Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Football has been consistantly but the issue remains. We need to score more and finish off teams

The goals will come me oul mucker.

Our performances have been, in general, vastly superior to last year.

Mkhitaryan is playing great, Mata with a few moments of glory too, still lacking the killer blow which hopefully won't bite us on the arsenal tonight, wrap this up lads.

Credit where it's due, he has been brilliant.

Has Jose found the best formula?

    Swap out Ander for Carrick.

Maybe Ibra for Rashers or Martial.

Would be hard to drop Rooney after tonight.

I'm enjoying this match, even without the scoreline.
Makes a change from the last few years, some lovely play out there

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,196 ✭✭✭✭RobbingBandit

Killer combo from Rooney and Mata, job well done from both tonight. Glad to see Rooney sharing the glory given he is one goal from equalling Bobby Charlton record, great to see the team playing this good again.

Should take off Rooney and Pogba and bring on Fellaini and Memphis, move Ibra into the no.10

I'd leave Carrick where he is
    Controlling midfield tbh

Not been overly stretched the last two games. Agree tho that he's been excellent in what he has had to do.

If anything you can see that the players are allowed to express themselves a hell of a lot more. Some lovely play and a huge headache for Jose selection wise for the weekend.

Eh he needs to do alot more of it it there is to be a turn around

Think we can safely say jose knows how to handle Miki he looked a different player then the one that played first few sub appearances and twice as fit looking.

Some difference from last year, surely everybody can now see that things have improved immeasurably. Still a long way to go but damn sure things have gotten better.

The squad is evolving nicely. Feeling more and more optimistic as the season progresses. There's bags of potential there.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 14,846 ✭✭✭✭Liam McPoyle

    Lots of positives.

Rooney MOTM. Super, captain like performance from him.

Kagawa Mk II was good in the first half, really good in the second.

Only down side was Ibra, very lethargic for most of the game. He has had 3 weeks off so that's concerning.

Overall a very good performance against an average team.

Its all for nought unless we beat West Ham on Sunday though.

The signs are very positive for United, the form is improving and just need the form to be like tonight reflected in the result.

It was like a United of old.

Loved that. Don't know how much better we played compared to Arsenal, Burnley or Stoke, but we got the ball into the net repeatedly this time, which was amazing :P Was great to watch, some really nice football, and thats why even if Jose finishes outside the top 4, I have faith in him. Our football style, it's looking really progressive.

Rooney was great, Mata was good, Mkhi was amazing considering his lack of game time. I felt Ibra was poor, but still...an assist, a key pass and the own goal was all him. Even having a "poor" game, he had a hand in 3 goals. Valencia was brilliant, Carrick was solid, Pogba was solid.

Overall, very, very happy with that. Was so nice to be able to kick back and enjoy a game.

Great night all round, so many positives but to be fair as stated before the football has been consistently good (the finishing and putting teams to the sword not so much recently).
But progression is clear as day.
Credit again to Rooney, probably his best game in a long long time.
Miki showed what he is capably off. Frighting pace and always looking to find space when he picks a pass.
    Mata as always quality
    Carrick bossed midfield yet again
Pogba again showing flashes of brilliance, he covers so much ground which can sometimes be hard to observe at first glance.
Jones looking solid at the back although hasn't been tested all that much but hopefully he can keep fit.
Valencia looks a player transformed this season. He's got his pace back and is getting around defenders and crossing the ball.
A lot of work to do but up and up we go

Must be like the scene in the water boy where they win a game after years of trying in the dressing room tonight, Romero did well in the couple of times he was needed, Rooney was excellent, great control and composure tonight. More of the same on Sunday please.

Fair fcuks to Rooney for giving it to the interviewer.

Ibra was still involved in a lot of the good stuff that was played tonight though

He provided the assist for first goal and also forced the OG
Also laid on Rooney for the assist to Mata

    Great night all round.

Feyenord are poor team but we did our job.

thats what happens you play intelligent football players together

    ibra

    mkhitarayan---pogba---rooney----mata

    carrick

all pure footballers, interchanging the whole time, hard to pick up. not really sure where to play herrera but he has to play, if he plays instead of carrick i dont think jose will start mkhitarayan

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 20,779 ✭✭✭✭jayo26

I think the wedding crap was a good thing that happened rooney he seems to have a fire in his belly over it and that can only be a good thing long may it last.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,582 ✭✭✭NoviGlitzko

Best two things about tonight - The return of Rooney's confidence and Mkhitaryan.

That was the best game of the season so far for me. All goals from play and a great TEAM performance.

  • Registered Users Posts: 48,990 ✭✭✭✭Lithium93_

More of the same from tonight against West Ham on Sunday :D

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,219 ✭✭✭✭Pro. F

It was only Feyenoord and all, but you can only beat what's in front of you and that was a very positive performance.

The three home results in the Europa this season have been 1-0 v Zorya, 4-0 v Fenerbache, 4-1 v Feyenoord. This is a good sign.
