Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Ibra and Carrick clearly can't play two games in a week

This is the worst game I've watched in ages.

Goal aside, Ibrahimovic has been so poor in possession at times

He's very high risk, high reward. Some of his play is so frustrating but we need him to create stuff like that out of nowhere.

He's a mixed bag alright. He pulls out these lovely through balls that cut out two Everton players and then he lets you down when a simple pass is needed.

The goal was quality though :)

    Herrera playing well. Mkhitaryan anonymous.

Herrera and Mikateryan gave been our 2 best players

Ha ha, I'll take the same again 2nd half!

Rojo not getting a red card for that lunge and Zlatan's lob finally bobbling across the correct side of the goal-line - I don't want to hear the manager or the players talk about being unlucky again anytime soon after those prime examples of good fortune.

Desperate half of football from both teams, we're absolutely blessed to be leading at half-time. As poor as the team have been, unforced errors everywhere, Mkhitaryan still looking dangerous.

Only three things of note in that half.

Rojo s shocked of a challenge. Straight red every day of the week.

    The ref. Awful.

Ibras goal. Summed the game up as it stuttered in slow motion over the line.

Utd have been extremely sloppy in possession and have no tempo.

Tony V seems to have reverted to tentative Tony. Carrick has been very sloppy in mf. Ibra hasn't held the ball up well at all and has been poor although played a nice couple of nearly balls after the goal.

Miki has been by far Utds most tidy player. Hasn't been overly involved but when he's had the ball hes been progressive and tidy with it. Stood out all the more because Utd have been so awful with the ball.

Everton are reverting to the long ball too much and letting Utd off the hook a bit with that tactic.

I expect the tempo to increase dramatically in the second half.

I think Koeman has correctly identified that our defence is held together with a bit of twine and prayers to baby Jesus and has told them to go at it directly. Problem is that they've gone at the task with 0 ingenuity so far. Pogba has also done as good a job screening Lukaku as Gueye has done on him.

Pogba has had a poor 45 mins. He improved as the half wore on but still no where near the level he should be playing at.

Zlatan has been both very good and very bad.

Martial has been poor. A lot of that is down to Coleman marking him well but he really needs to start turning and running at the back line.

Herrera and Henrikh have been decent.

Fairly disappointing performance overall in that first half.

I disagree. Pogba has played well and he has been covering defensively for Rojo and is also carrying an attacking threat

Everton are pressing hard but they won't be able to keep it up

Probably best discussed after the match:), but I think he has given away possession far too easily in this game so far.

Ibra is some man to hold up the ball

    **** so close

    How good is Mkhitaryan though

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,576 ✭✭✭deaddonkey15

Poor decision by Carrick there. Looked like the ball across to Martial was on if not the cutback to Mkhitaryan.

Joke. This is what happens when you constantly fail to take your chances.

Winning the Europa league just became the only priority

Its not taking chances it was allowing Everton to attack constantly

Fellaini deserves and will get loads of stick but he shouldn't even be on the pitch.

It's both, to be fair. Sitting back after 65 minutes is pretty pathetic.

If only there was somebody whose job it is to get this team winning games that we could criticise.

Whenever I see Fellaini in a starting line up or coming on as a sub I'm always afraid that he will do something f*ckin stupid just like he did today. The same with Rojo to a lesser extent. We shouldn't have the kind of players in the squad that you can't even trust to simply do the basics without a potential major f*ck up.
