Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The problem with the striker situation is that Rashford is there and all the talk in the summer was about Mourinho not trusting youth and stifling players like him. Had he brought in Ibra and another he'd have been heavily criticised. Damned if he does, damned if he doesn't.

    Who's blaming Jose?

With the luck the team has been having recently I wouldn't tempt fate by daring to hope.

Palace, West Brom, Sunderland, Boro, West Ham. We need to go on a run here and take minimum 12-13 from those 15 points to get back into the shake up.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 17,388 ✭✭✭✭Jayop

Really big win soured by that injury.

Rojo, Herrera and Miki the stand out performers for me.

    Rojo was a beast.

That tackle in the end in the box by Phil was brilliant. I love Smalling but I reckon he gives the pen or gets turned there.

Thought Ibrahimovic was very wasteful in possession again today.

Lovely. Thats a massive, massive win.

Can't say there was any stand out performance, but I love being able to say "We could have won 3-0", but actually get the win.

Huge result, not just in terms of the 3 points and league position but for the mentality of the squad. That will do them the world of good.

I don't think we fell apart at all. Spurs are a very good side and Utd were always going to be a little fragile with a one goal lead but Spurs for their huffing and puffing barely had a sniff at goal.

Darmian was truely awful at LB and we are lucky more didn't come of that weakness. I thought he actually hid a little bit too, vacated his position completely, tucking inside so he didn't have to deal with the threat.

Huge huge result for the club in the bigger scheme of things. We were never going to continually concede late goals but the sooner we ground out a victory the better.

I fear Miki may have done his Achilles looking at the way Rose fell on him. Hopefully not.

Awful to hear fans boo Fellaini no matter what your opinion of him.

Thought Ibrahimovic was very wasteful in possession again today.

I thought when we needed him in the second half as an out ball and to slow things up. He was brilliant.. the way he holds up the ball to allow others into the game is second to none

That's all you have to say on the game?

    You're a gas man.

    Keep fighting the fight.

    Massive win for Utd.

Don't think you can really expect to get back in the shakeup simply because one of Chelsea Arsenal Pool won't drop 10 points more than you.

But a good close to the season, infinite cash to spend, and Europa league could really set you up for next year.

Didn't see the game, just googled the result and pleasantly surprised.
My day is getting better and better.
On holidays and missed my train, got a later one, all fine, then got the wrong connecting train from carelessness.
Realised my mistake and got off at next stop, left my new iPhone on the train, so had to go the wrong way in the hope of finding my phone. Went to ticket office in station and woman behind the desk got my phone.
Still have three hours travel to go but great to see Mkhitaryan scoring, I should have knowing getting my phone back was a good omen.
Sorry for being off topic but seeing United win has put a smile on my face as I travel alone on a train in the middle of the Alps.
Maybe the playing form which has been mostly good is finally going to translate into a winning run.
I also see that it is believed that Griezmann to United is all but a done deal for next summer as it is reported/speculated United will pay the buyout clause.
    Anyway I am happy...

Only 6 points off City now. If West Ham could get something today that would leave 2 decent targets.

  • Posts: 0 Kyra Steep Tech

A nice end to the day would be West Ham bating the ****e outa liverpool 4-3
    one can dream

Pity Leicester let in 2 but at least our goal difference has improved.

Everybody if he brings in two strikers in the summer. He had Rooney, Rashford and Martial there already, it didn't make sense to bring in another two. It will make sense this summer with Ibra being a year older but Rooney is in the biggest trouble imo. No way can he sit on the bench making the odd appearance here and there being paid 300k a week for the rest of this season. If his season continues as ithe has been for the last few weeks, I think he will be very lucky to make it through the summer a United player.

Id take a comfortable top 4 and a cup or 2 if it was on offer...:D

Really good result. Very solid performance as well. Would like to see Utd set up the same way in future with Carrick, Herrera, Martial, Mkhitaryan, Mata and Ibra as the front 6. I think you'd see some really good interactions with all those likeminded players
