    Mea culpa

Aren't they great marketers altogether, re.ind me what Dawg is being pain in France again?
Such super business people to get us that 10cpl less
We should be thankful and join the fanboy/girl club...

Same as the KPMG newsletter. As greengrass said praising themselves for our solids....

They say they've returned less for butter,do they ever provide proof of this to their CoOp members, where are they selling it that they got this 1cpl equivalent less and again why is their management and sale of our milk so poor compared to France and other European countries?

Management pay and incentive structures need to be based on milk price to farmer, and let them cream it if the price is high..

That needs to happen because dairy farmers need to show they're concerned at the exploitation by processor management
But you'll have those who say price is great (compared to 2012)

Did you vote yes our no at last spinout, if yes you facilitated where we are re milk price they haven’t even got started yet with cuts, still paying above what the market is returning (when their guarantee 3.2% operating margin is factored in) apparently

Got an email from my Coop on Friday.

The heading is ‘La fête est finie’...’party is over’.
We are on 36cpl + vat base price until October. That’s a minimum price. Talks were that it’d go up more but the Germans are putting downward pressure on French prices with fierce competition for shelf space. Fair enough.

I don't believe a no vote at that meeting would have made a hapeard of difference to milk price

Ornua, Glanbia, Teagasc etc, have been a little unforthcoming with the truth...grazed grass as a forage is penalised by the processors, and I can prove it...!

Funny how it works. What the farmer gets is the only negotiable in all this..

...and his time and assets fully invested.
My worry is how much will come off in hard brexit scenario. Iv heard it could be cruel

Is that re accessing European markets, you’d always wonder why such emphasis is put on thy American market re the fisty cuffs between glanbia and Oruna but noting of note is been sold into European markets bar Kerrygold butter

The levels of excise was set out before. As far as I recall cheeses was 10%.
Not sure where else the UK will get its cheddar.
Lamb from the UK to France will be hit with 47%.

Perhaps Farmer Tipp, you should be trying to ensure, others don't follow. You might have influence.

    Lads let's face it
    We should be thanking management
They see the pitfalls of what respectable returns for their 40hr weeks are in terms of salaries north of 50k and south of a few 100 thousand probably
They are saving us the hardships

It's over three percent of a cut.

    Lakeland cut 0.5 cent

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,728 ✭✭✭✭whelan2

    Lakeland cut 0.5 cent

So lakelands are on 30.78cpl and glanbia are 29.0 cpl plus 0.5 from our selves. Almost 2 cents of a difference. Says it all really

    That's €178 extra for every 10000 litres
Subtract the 0.75cpl trading bonus and it's still €100 per every 10000 litres or 10 thousand Euros on 1 million litres

    Shocking and disgraceful
They've gathered up a junior milk managers annual salary there in a few farms
Kudos...that's what we pay senior management for,to keep our company strong, against all odds and all pestilence (like suppliers)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,431 ✭✭✭Mortelaro

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,728 ✭✭✭✭whelan2

So they're only getting 0.5c/l less than a supplier who has signed a MSA?

Do they get the bonuses for solids, protein etc?
