Hi all, am doing a bit of research on GPS watches - would appreciate if any of you could PM me the total distance your watch recorded for DCM please (so long as you didn't leave it on while you collected your bag!). Km or miles, doesn't matter - just need the watch make and model and the total distance it recorded for you. Thanks!

Strava lists the Dublin marathon and a bunch of people who ran it.
I can see that Myles Splits, for example, ran 42.4km and was wearing a Garmin 235

    Polar M400
    26.57miles

Ran the first half of the race with the 4hour pace group so chosing/positioning for the best racing line was difficult.

    Garmin 225.
    Distance 42.2km
Thing I love about this watch is it underestimates the distance slightly (especially over shorter races) so your training paces you set yourself are almost bang on the money.
My previous watch Garmin 310 xt overestimated distance and I couldn't trust it.
Still do not trust the new one either! Mile splits and pace band all the way!

    Polar M400
    42.8 km = 26.6 miles
Also had poor racing line with pace group.

Good idea, thanks! Plenty of data for me to work with there.

You can also do an activity search on the Garmin Connect site. Should get you plenty more samples. Distance recorded isn't a measure of accuracy though, with each runner taking a different line, potentially starting in a different place and dealing with different levels of obstacles.
