    Hi,

I'm in need of a new 32 inch tv and a freesat box also. I currently have a triax saorview combo box which has a pretty poor user interface and does not update automatically so i lose channels regularly

I was looking at either getting a humax freesat box and then a tv with saorview built in. Recording tv is not huge for me so not worried about not being able to record saorview though if there was a way around this ?

The other alternative is to get a tv with freesat and saorview built in but what is the interface like on these and do they update frequencies themselves or is it a case of a manual re scan?

The only other things I'm looking for on the tv is 3 HDMI Ports if possible and the possibility to connect my old ps2 if needs be.

Could you give me your thoughts and recommend some options if possible?

    Thanks.

    Hi Football Friend.

Apologies for the delay in getting back to you.

There are a few screens that are both FreeviewHD (Will also get Saorview) and FreeSatHD tuners. Although after checking it seems this is only available in the larger size of screen.

So it would be a TV and then a separate freesat box.

    For the TV:
Samsung UE32K5500 priced at £269.00 - Has 3 HDMI's, also has record function to an external hard drive. (Includes our 6 year VIP guarantee).

Humax for freesat have the HDR1100S 500GB priced at £171.00

Or the 1TB version priced at £219.00

Let me know what you think.

Any questions drop me a post.

    Hey Kenny,

Cheers for getting back to me, that tv was the one I kept coming back to doing my own research so it looks good to me. You're cheaper than everywhere else and have a longer warranty so looks good. The 500GB Humax is what I'm after too, I rarely record tv so 1TB for an extra £48 would be a waste. The only difference is the extra storage is it?

I'd be happy to go with that purchase.

    Hey Football Friend.

Yes the only difference between the two Humax is the storage space.

If you drop me your contact number in a PM I can give you a call for some details.
