I found two items that I might have bought if I hadn't bought them last week. They are the same price as last week, not exactly a special black friday special so.

I'm put off by Black Friday specials and Aliexpress things. One a few rare gems in there, the rest is just clearance.

I'm waiting on Amazons 2016 Mop n Bucket Special myself. :P

700w though... an asthmatic child would have more power

I wouldn't worry too much about the wattage of new vacuum cleaners. The newer models are a lot more efficient as manufacturers are faced with a maximum power consumption of 900 watts in 2017 according to EU rules. It was just a few years ago when manufacturers were competing on reaching the highest wattage figure.

I also think that 600+ watts is still a lot just to vacuum up dust. For example - consider the situation where someone is using a 600 watt hammer drill to drill through a concrete wall and a 1200 watt vacuum cleaner to collect the dust falling out. Is the 1200W vacuum cleaner really working twice as hard? ;)

Look at amazon germany & select English
Prices is in Euro. free delivery to Ireland over 29€
(few products dont ship to Ireland)
Also different deals to the UK site
    https://www.amazon.de/gp/angebote/ref=nav_cs_gb

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 786 ✭✭✭editorsean

Unfortunately Amazon Germany does not offer the free delivery to Ireland even with over €29. I already tried with a few different products.

For example, I just quickly tried a random product on the Amazon Germany Lightning deals page. On the left it shows 'Free delivery', but on the order page, it adds a delivery charge and it does not give a super saver delivery choice.

This is the only delivery option it gives to Irish addresses:

Is there any sign of the $5 amazon cloud drive deal this year? I missed it last year, was hoping it would come up again.

The Nighthawk x6 AC3200 is on a lightening deal at 8pm tonight. That's one I have in my wish list. Currently £186. How much do you think it will be reduced?

How do you see that? Is there some way to see it in the format that shows whats currently on offer and what's upcoming? I can only see a grid of deals.

I am using the Android app and go into today's deals. From there you can see either current offers, upcoming offers or watch list.
Upcoming offers can be filtered by Computers and Accessories or Electronics etc. They are in time order.
To find today's deals in the app, go to your basket and if empty it will provide a link to today's deals. Don't know if it has the link when there are items in your basket and cannot find any other way to see today's deals in the app.

wooh I scored bigtime on the Amazon Warehouse deal there (£50 off £200).. got 3 items I had on my wishlist including:

    - JBL Charge 3 for £88 (normally cheapest is around £129.99)
    - PS4 Gaming Headset for £24
    - iPazzPort keyboard for Fire TV stick - £10
    - VicTsing Phoenix Wireless IP65 Waterproof CSR 4.0 Bluetooth Speaker - £10

plus an electronic weighing scales to make up the extra £14 or so I needed ;)

Damn just missed one of the few decent things so far.

The layout of the main Black Friday page is so poor I haven't been looking at it much.

There is a deal for 6 blu rays for €30 on Amazon Germany. Might sound like a silly question but would the dvds be in English language by default?

Some of the dvd covers are in German and some in English.

Usually they are in several languages like english, german, french but it should indicate this on the product page.

    The original ps4, almost certainly.

The new slim or pro, probably not.

Looks like a decent pressure washer, what'd be the best crowd to us to get it shipped here? Too big for PM?

    Amazon surely...

This 4k TV just went on sale and is being snapped up fairly quick.

Looks like a good deal, but 49" a bit below what i was hoping to get.

    EDIT: 33% gone now

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 786 ✭✭✭editorsean

Parcel Wizard might be worth trying. It's wider than their allowed dimensions (40x40x60cm, product is 39.7x51.3x59.1cm), but I've had an oversized parcel before with them that arrived without an issue, which was 66cm long. The 14kg weight is within their 20kg allowance.

Edit: Just realised that's the product dimensions and not the carton dimensions, so may be an issue. The shipping weight is 19kg, but Amazon doesn't mention the shipping carton dimensions.

Good luck finding one or getting a deal... many retailers got rid of old stock by selling them cheaply when FIFA came out

Doesnt look to be the Legacy edition so it doesnt include Modern Warfare Remastered.

Read somewhere (from a link on this thread I think) that the Amazon Echo will be on sale at some stage during the Black Friday Sale? Do you think this will be the case, looking to buy as a house warming gift so waiting to see if it goes on sale. Thanks

yup... probably not quite down to £100, but you never know.

God almighty that is good.. but still going to probably get a Pro to go along with a PSVR... *just in case* they decide to use it to improve the overall experience.

    EDIT: https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2016/nov/14/does-playstation-4-pro-really-improve-virtual-reality-performance

Yeah seems the Pro does improve framerate smoothness so definitely adds to the PSVR

I was playing around with a Sony 4k android TV last week and it put me off them for a few years. Great idea and the software looks great, but the TVs are not powerful enough yet.

It did make me want to invest in an nvidia shield, though. Because the android TV software looked like it would be great with more powerful hardware.

there seem to be a lot of Netgear routers reduced at the moment. not sure if they are BF or not....,........I am hoping to get decent internet in at start of December in which case I will need one if it's successfully installed . There are so many of the routers though I don't know which one !

I've a Nvidia Shield TV, it is fantastic. Very fast and the software is very cool. I don't play games on it, so I can't comment on that, but youtube, netflix, plex, etc. are perfect on it.

Sorry for off topic but is there any benefit of the Shield TV over a ChromeCast or just using those apps on a PS4?
