How to get three presale code without logging into their site (legacy system)

There's no need to go through the hazzle of logging into the plus three website, the legacy system still works. Here's how:

As soon as a gig at the Point Depot, aka the Point, aka the o2, aka 3arena is announced:

    (1) Text the artist name to 51020
(from an Irish three mobile or o2 mobile number).

    The following variations are common:

    one word bandname:
    AEROSMITH

for multiple word bandnames/longer bandnames you may need to try multiple versions:
    KINGS
    KINGSOFLEON
    STONES

Same with artists name. It's usually first name only:
    ARIANA

The system is likely to trigger an error message if the wrong request text was sent, so just try another variation of the band/artist name if you receive an error or never receive the promo code.

    (2) Go to this URL and get the Link for buying the tickets.

    http://www.ticketmaster.ie/promo/6byw2w
(this URL never changes, it has been the same since at least 2009)
You can also use this shortcut if that's easier to remember:
    mil.army/3presale

    (3) Pray that you don't need to click on pictures of storefronts when presale starts!

What percentage of the overall tickets are made available to 3 for pre-sale does anyone know?

It's usually 5% to 10% for the three presale. Then another 10% to 25% in the general sale. Rest goes to premium sales platforms, while some of it remains reserved for corporate clients until shortly before the event.

The 3 presale is handy for standing tickets but the seats offered in it are usually some of the worst in the venue.
