Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Mousasi via Submission
Here's how I would like to see it play out for the title eliminator:
    Rockhold vs Weidman II
    Mousasi vs Jacare

Winners face off for #1 contender spot.

Interesting but I think Weidman is out of contention for a while. Can see him possibly being matched up with the winner of Whittaker/Brunson.

Weidman needs to take her handy for a 6 months minimum.

I'd like to see Weidman take some time off. Two bad KOs in a row. He shouldn't be let fight till around summer time imo. Do Rockhold/Mousasi, Jacare fight the winner of Brunson/Whittaker.

Ward has no business in the UFC lads that's the bottom line. He doesn't even look like Bamma level. I repeat there are amateurs, some even in sbg, who can beat the current version of ward.

Pendred only got in because Connor had performed and opened the door for him. He was absolutely dog poor in his 6 fights and he was so bad he became the joke of sherdog with people calling him the GOAT etc. The same for daly and we see what ufc think of her anyway, all we get is one fight every 18 months from her. Completely non-viable for her. Gets awarded a token black belt then for her troubles. Ffs. If she was in invicta shed have made more money by now.

Pendred is 4-2 in the UFC and Aisling is 2-1.

How that equates to not UFC standard is beyond me, so you are talking rubbish.

A token black belt, are you insane, why in fcuks name would they give her a black belt she didn't earn.

Yeah I don't think Weidman should be in the picture for a while. I'd imagine Rockhold v Jacare will be rebooked with the winner facing the winner of Bisping v Romero. Hard to know what happens with Mousasi in the meantime.

In the last 5-10 post there has been so many different possibilities proposed involving only a handful of fighters.

MW division is so hot right now!!!

Maybe you missed it but Mousasi v Jacare would be another II

I'd personally prefer Jacare v Rockhold rebooked myself.

He's still a huge name so the UFC will be still having him high up in the card rather than having him face lower guys. A Rockhold rematch would definitely draw.
Although he suffered losses, he was doing good against Yoel and also Rockhold until he did that spinning hook kick.

Oh non-spinning hook kick Weidman, belongs in the same category as TRT Vitor, Sea-level Cain, Serious Anderson, Mile-High Werdum, Ubereem, calorie counting Hendricks

Bisping exposed Rockholds boxing, if he hasnt cleaned it up Mousasi beats him.

Pendred got in through his good showing in TUF. He was fortunate to debut in Ireland but he got there on his own steam.

When JK was posting on here a few weeks ago, you literally could not have been farther up his hole and now you are saying that he awards token black belts? AFAIK he has awarded only 4 or 5 black belts in his time as head coach of SBGi.

You've consistently slated and bashed SBG fighters in your short time as a member here, calling them cans/bums/punch bags etc.

You even said Owen Roddy knows nothing about MMA, that he spent his career propping up a dole queue an getting his head bashed in for €100 a fight. This is the striking coach of the first ever concurrent dual weight champion in the UFC FFS.

I wonder did you share your opinions with Conor McGregor last night when you were talking to him.

    Doubt it.

John kavanagh didn't give her the black belt. Sue got it in sbg oregon with Matt Thornton. But of a slap in the face tbh him awarding that behind John's back. Similar to what happened with gunnar but obviously not as bad. John obviously felt she hadn't earned the black belt. Anyway no I didn't tell Connor that. Connor and John got to where they were in spite of being surrounded by lesser calibre team mates. Bit of a bj Penn situation, just natural talent. Iron sharpens iron they say but in this instance McGregor and John are trying to sharpen tin cans. You can sharpen a tin can but it's still good for nothing but the rubbish bin.

It would be III actually. They fought once in Strikeforce and once in UFC. Its 1-1 at the moment.

What, so you expect everyone on the team to be as good as McGregor? And if they are not they are cans? Cop on mate. Mcgregor just happens to be (or close to) the best in the world right now. Totally unreasonable to use him as a yardstick by which all others on his team are measured.

And as for Aisling Daly getting her black belt from Matt Thornton, I would be very surprised if it was not on the back of a VERY strong recommendation from JK. Also if you are criticising Matt Thorntons judgement, then remember he is also the person that gave Kavanagh his black belt.

True, he's overdue another identity change anyway.

At least he follows the same pattern every time. Makes it easier to spot him! :)

Ah so it does, that fight at this point only makes sense for Mousasi though I think it's fair to say.

The Strikeforce fight between Rockhold and Jacare was very close and think they expected the 2nd bout sooner but Vitor kicked that plan out the window

Good win I guess for Mousasi but he definitely doesn't deserve to have a title shot yet. He's beaten has beens and #15-20 ranked guys since he last lost to Hall, it's a streak but it's a streak beating non-elite fighters. Romero gets the next shot, then the winner of Rockhold/Jacare (if that happens). Weidman-Mousasi might make sense but I think Weidman deserves and needs a break.

Lol, either you are trolling, or you just started watch MMA in the last year or so.

Pendred got in through Tuf (that's the ultimate fighter). He was signed for the UFC when Conor was still fighting on the undercard.

Ais Also got in via TUF. she did pretty well and has a wining record. Which suggest she belongs. I guess haven't actually watched many strawweight matches.

The comments about Gunni show you aren't aware how black belt promotion works in BJJ tbh.
"Behind John's back" lol. The ridiculousness of you acting as if you know what went on. Saying she doesn't deserve her black belt is equally comical.

Neil Seery has really got the shaft this weekend.

UFC paid him his show money but not win money, even though the first time someone cancelled on McCall they paid both.

Now Reebok won't pay his sponsor money either.

Plus he didn't get to fight!

Whatever about Aisling Daly being handed a UFC opportunity, Pendred had a record of 13-2-1 and was Cage Warriors Welterweight champ before he went in to TUF. I dunno what else one needs to do to be worthy of a shot
