This is madness. The dossier which Trump and his team of propagandists have claimed was "fake news" has been proven to be true in at least some aspects by US intelligence officials.

It seems Flynn met with the Russians before the election and lied about it afterwards.

Trump and his administration are dirty and rotten to the core. A bunch of traitors.

All these Irish Americans from Steve Bannon, to Kellyanne Conway, to Sean Spicer to General Flynn. They are not having a good time.

You were quick to suggest that suddenly getting the Supreme Court up to 9 was the main thing. It very much did not seem that way. Trump very adamantly defended this order and believes American lives were at risk (well I don't think he believes that but he said it) because it was not in force. Surely any competent AG would have pointed out it would suffer in the courts and he could have started on a new one ages ago.

I mean why not have a reserve one drafted up in case they were ruled against. Time appears to be of the essence.

How this can be seen as anything but a horrendous failure is beyond me. I mean enough people pointed out the stupidity of it the moment it was signed.

I am just an ordinary person giving an opinion, nothing more, nothing less, just guessing as we are all doing on what happens next.
Reince Priebus has suggested the SC route could be one they go down.

Maybe next week a new executive order is put in place while the old one goes before the courts.

Trump talking to Democrats, and he called Elizabeth Warren 'Pocahontas' several times. he said "Pocahontas is now the face of your party".
As most know she claimed she had native American ancestry, but she was unable to produce any evidence of it, she talks about family stories but there is no evidence, and she has not taking a DNA test to show if she does have Native American ancestry or not.
She has been accused of saying she is a minority race to gain advantages in the past, which has not been proven one way or the other.

I would hope that Sessions takes Trump aside and tells him to give up fighting the order. He's not doing anyone any favors. Interestingly, however, the 9h Circuit has requested additional briefs to consider an en banc hearing of the full court, not just a panel, This was not the result of an appeal, but of dissent within the judges themselves. Remains to be seen if a rehearing will happen.

In the meantime, I more expect a narrower order. Same as before, but exempting green card holders.

    Exactly which aspects?
That Trump's name is Donald or that some Russian officials didn't see problems if Trump will be elected?

I think he's joking. Trump wasn't wearing his ear piece during a speech by the Japanese PM but was nodding, smiling and laughing as if he knew what was going on.

I tend to presume most people are ordinary people giving an opinion here?

I guess they could go down both routes take whatever they can get through an executive order (this time with legal advice!) While attempting to push the old one through the courts.

None of the newly learned information relates to the salacious allegations in the dossier. Rather it relates to conversations between foreign nationals. The dossier details about a dozen conversations between senior Russian officials and other Russian individuals. Sources would not confirm which specific conversations were intercepted or the content of those discussions due to the classified nature of US intelligence collection programs.

But the intercepts do confirm that some of the conversations described in the dossier took place between the same individuals on the same days and from the same locations as detailed in the dossier, according to the officials. CNN has not confirmed whether any content relates to then-candidate Trump.

The corroboration, based on intercepted communications, has given US intelligence and law enforcement "greater confidence" in the credibility of some aspects of the dossier as they continue to actively investigate its contents, these sources say.

It's clear to see Trump and his team were doing dirty deals with the Russians before and after the election

Russia are said to be seriously considering handing over Edward Snowden to the Americans.
Trump in the past has labelled Snowden a traitor.

    Well worth a read.

Whether you believe the "Putin-Trump Conspiracy" or not, or even if you support Trump, you have to admit there's a lot of coincidences going on.

It's like meeting another lad and they feel they have to have the strongest handshake in order to assert "dominance" and feed their narcisstic ego. That's exactly what this is.

It's a nothing story though really. There's a lot worse to pull him up on.

Yes- Trump threatens China, says he will only respect the One China policy if China makes a deal. China ignores him for a month so he gives in.
    Sad!
What deal are you talking about?

The One China policy essentially means that countries can only have an embassy with either China or Taiwan, but not both at the same time.
Despite this the USA sells fighter planes to Taiwan and is committed to defending it. Trump phoned the Taiwan president for a chat. These things annoy the Chinese, but Trump will not give up support for Taiwan.

Only Russians don't know anything about it
According to Russian foreign ministry, this statement is just part of pressure, what #fakenews media outlets are trying to put on Trump to keep him under their control
The refreshed "outdated stories" about extradition to the U.S. of the CIA former employee Edward Snowden and confirmed information compromising President Donald Trump are attempts to press the White House, spokeswoman of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova wrote on her Facebook page on Feb. 11.

"Those are not statements from intelligence services, but information of the NBC and CNN television channels, referring to unnamed sources at intelligence services. The difference is big, though not for specialists. Quite a useful technology to stir up the public opinion and to support the tension. Clearly, pressure on the new administration from political opponents inside the U.S. continues, the bargain is at the height," she wrote.

    #fakenews l

Please tell me this line is a joke right because it will stop anyone from taking the post seriously.

I do love all the fake news bull being peddled but the same people say nothing about Trump's lies about the murder rate, the media coverage of those 78 incidents, ignoring a terrorist attack because it was not a Muslim attacker (and Muslim victims to make it worse) and his team making up attacks in Atlanta and bowling Green.

Just to name a few I should stress.

Is there anybody here who isn't a complete leftist? I mean, Trump is revolutionizing the world. Why is everyone hating on him, it's better than having to watch MTV give Caitlyn Jenner the brave & stunning award and have Hillary being all shady.

Trump is an unqualified narcissist without a clue how to run a country as has been ably demonstrated in the frankly laughable first 3 weeks of his administration, I like my leaders to be intelligent and not suffering from mental illness.

    Key fact:
Michael Flynn was appointed by Trump to be his NSA, met with the Russians before he took office to discuss the sanctions (which was not only shady, but illegal) and then persisted to lie about it even up until a few days ago.

it was illegal only according to #fakenews
A U.S. intelligence official briefed on the matter confirmed to NBC News that National Security Advisor Mike Flynn discussed sanctions with the Russian ambassador before Flynn took office, contrary to denials from Vice President Mike Pence, White House spokesman Sean Spicer, and others.

The official said he was told there was no quid pro quo and that there has been no finding inside the government that Flynn did anything illegal.

So media and it has been widespread media in the west, have been spreading fake news?

    http://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/russia-eyes-sending-snowden-u-s-gift-trump-official-n718921
U.S. intelligence has collected information that Russia is considering turning over Edward Snowden as a "gift" to President Donald Trump — who has called the NSA leaker a "spy" and a "traitor" who deserves to be executed.
That's according to a senior U.S. official who has analyzed a series of highly sensitive intelligence reports detailing Russian deliberations and who says a Snowden handover is one of various ploys to "curry favor" with Trump. A second source in the intelligence community confirms the intelligence about the Russian conversations and notes it has been gathered since the inauguration.

Snowden's ACLU lawyer, Ben Wizner, told NBC News they are unaware of any plans that would send him back to the United States.
"Team Snowden has received no such signals and has no new reason for concern," Wizner said.
Snowden responded to NBC's report on Twitter and said it shows that he did not work with the Russian government.
"Finally: irrefutable evidence that I never cooperated with Russian intel," Snowden said. "No country trades away spies, as the rest would fear they're next."

It does seem reading that full article that the Trump administration want to execute Edward Snowden.
I hope all this about a possible handover of Snowden is fake news.
The US should really be killing the policy of having the death penalty in what is suppose to be a civilised country.

    What media sources exactly?

All I hear is that mainstream sources are just as bad as the clowns at Breitbart, but I'd love to see an example of plain fabrication from CNN, MSNBC, NYT, Washington Post or other mainstream or 'liberal' sources.

Press: why did you discuss sanctions with ambassador and talk to him several times during campaign?

Flynn: eh eh look there's Edward Snowden!

36 hours and still no comment from Trump about Flynn.
DT, Bannon and Flynn are in Florida. Plan will be for Flynn to walk quietly. If he starts talking it's all over and this will explode big time.

In the last week before election something unusual was noticed. A private plane belonging to a guy called Rybolevlev was spotted in the airports of two of the cities at same time as trumps plane. He bought a house from Trump for 90 million, well over the odds, after the crash when trump was strapped. Well his plane is in Palm Springs right now. Hope for trumps sake that's coincidence. I think he's on borrowed time now
