She needs to get onto them now regarding her Regional placings and then she has a call to make.

    Numbers to be crunched etc.

What do you mean regional placings? I'm focussing on the plural you'll notice! Did she pick two regional places?

Did she not pick Dublin initially but is now considering a move to Dublin?

Same here and PAS told me within 2 or 3 weeks.

What number were you on the Open, given that they told you 2 or 3 weeks?

    Thanks!

    40s inter and 60s open.

    40s inter and 60s open.

Hopefully that is the timeline, they are flying through them at the moment so if they keep that pace up, it will be two weeks at the most! Best of luck with the offer.

Query for those who have already done the interview.

Were you asked to give an example of a second competency?

Yes for most of the competencies when I started giving the example from my application I was asked for another and in some they weren't satisfied with that and I gave a third.

It was an exhausting 35 minutes but as some said it seems that a lot of us who found the interview tough passed it.

    Best of luck to you!

Apols. Singular. She picked a neighbouring home county plus Dublin. Knowing full well from the get-go that odds were overwhelmingly stacked in favour of Dublin being the location should she make it through.

Thanks this is a great help. I'm up this week for mine. I'm exhausted today having had a very busy weekend (not drink related thankfully) and taking information in at less than full capacity. I'll probably be in bed at 7pm every evening this week... :pac:

I know someone from the outside at 1800, would they have a chance of being called?

  • Registered Users Posts: 900 ✭✭✭seamie78

Well, that's the interview over so the wait for the results begins I hope it's not too long

Lucky you. Any curveball type questions or did they stick to the competency framework?
(Not looking for anything in detail as that would be unfair!)

Hope it went well for you.

Pretty much stuck to the competencies just glad to have it over now, treating myself to a pizza night, best of luck with the interview

If your score in the supervised test is not within 15% of your score in the unsupervised test then you can be excluded from the comp.

Well done on getting back in. I remember your posts before and whilst we can all understand the necessity for the 15% rule, your particular results were exceptionally good both times.

    Good luck in the interview!

Just got my assignment email for a position in Dublin. So they're at least up to Mid 50's in the Open.

What were you on interD ?

Anymore offers for outside of Dublin?

  • Registered Users Posts: 11 Blue_sky7

Early 30s on InterD, and no offer from that. This offer is from Open.

  • Registered Users Posts: 15 CKanza123

Any advance on mid 50s from Open?

  • Registered Users Posts: 271 ✭✭gics

Anyone who was higher than mid 50s were you just passed over if you weren't interested in Dublin or did PAS contact you?

    Thanks for the good wishes.

15% "rule" - Amazing what the threat of legal action can do........
First time I got 70%, this time I took my time and got EXACTLY the same as the unsupervised test - 90%

I had a bad day first time and got 70%, this time I took my time and got EXACTLY the same as the unsupervised test - 90%

So you had to re-sit the supervised test again?

Excellent question! Just what I was wondering too?

  • Registered Users Posts: 88 ✭✭pfitzp90

yep - that was the compromise they offered and my solicitor advised me to do it - we still
had the option of going to court later, but I was 99% certain I could get within 15% of my
unsupervised score if I took my time.

  • Registered Users Posts: 15 The Slow One

pfitzp90 I'm curious as to what the legal basis for your re-sit was. You say you had a bad day? If someone was up all night the night with a teething baby and had to sit the supervised tests the next morning does that mean they are entitled to a re-sit. Could you not have numerous "bad days" until you get the results you want? I think getting a second chance to resit the supervised tests just sounds dodgy.

  • Registered Users Posts: 88 ✭✭pfitzp90

At the end of the day, I got 90% in the unsupervised and 70% in the initial supervised,
and it was implied that I was cheating. Is that fair?
