Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    1200 or 120?

For those having their interviews at the moment, how did it go?

Very challenging as you would expect at this level, but no nasty surprises. The Board were great, doing their best to direct the candidate towards the right answer.

I'm not sure how to gauge how I got on, I think I may have failed one competency at least. But it's great experience! :)

Spoke to PAS this morning, he said that they're nearly finished the initial spurt and after that it'll be in dribs and drabs. I'm in the 110s so I'll be after the spurt apparently

  • Registered Users Posts: 83 ✭✭Confused1979

well, it was a nice spurt!!! Hopefully your offer will come through soon.

I'd imagine it will. I think the spurt ends when they hit the 100s. Wonder if theyve taken off the AP1s and first secs cos that'll really mess things up for PAS if they havent

    Hope you get it.

We're marked on 6 competencies but how many do they ask you specific questions on and do they make it obvious and say "Ok, tell me why you make a good leader?"

Were you asked any general type questions?

Yes there are very clear demarcations as to which board member is examining which competencies and you know when they are finished with one and moving to the next.

I've no way of telling how I did but I've a feeling I'll score low / fail on leadership.

Don't they leave some competencies out?

I think they only ask questions on 4 of them.

Drive and commitment is implicitly examined across all other competencies as far as I could tell.

Specialist Knowledge, Expertise and Self Development, is that not a general one too or did they ask specific questions on it?

Specific AFAIK. It's kind of jumbled up in my memory as I've had loads going on at work/ outside work on top of the interview, I still haven't had the chance to reflect properly on it all... maybe interpersonal and communication skills was one of those general ones! Just glad it's over tbh!

Given that we are the same number eoinola there could be more than one person at each of 75-79 meaning another day or two of torture:). I'm ringing later because I want to suss out my regional panel now that my Dublin offer 'might' be imminent

  • Registered Users Posts: 15 CKanza123

How can there be two people at the same number?

Also, anyone with Sligo as a choice, no appointments there yet and none likely in near future :(

I have exactly the same position as someone else also. I'd presumed its the identical scores at interview.

27 to go for me. When there was mention of reaching 70 on Tuesday I was thinking I might get the nod before the weekend. Looks like its slowed considerably.

  • Registered Users Posts: 83 ✭✭Confused1979

but I think we were in the 40's or early 50 on Friday evening so they have made huge strides in a few days. Plus all those 27 ahead of you might not have a Dublin pick! stay positive,

I'm late 70's Open. Keeping my fingers crossed I hear shortly.

Good luck to everyone else on the panel. We'll all get there eventually.
