Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Carragher is genuinely delighted Everton won. He still likes the club. Noticed it a few times over the years.

It must be difficult for him to come out as "bi"

Even though Matip and Clyne are a big loss and Philippe is on the bench with Sturridge, I would still fancy us as we are the better team. Lots of pressing, can see Origi giving them big problems and Countinho and Sturridge off the bench

    2 nil Liverpool :)

No Matip and Clyne. No Mane and Coutinho only on the bench. That's Liverpool missing arguably their two best defenders and two best attackers.

Because of a dispute with Cameroon. F**king scandalous he can't play because of this if its true. National associations need to know who pays the players wages etc.

    Clyne has "abdominal" injuries.

TAA is a credible backup. Have you never seen him play?

He is but isnt this his first PL start? Young lad playing at OT, wouldnt blame him if he is a bag of nerves. Plus Utd will target him, it is far from ideal that he is being thrown in the deep end for such a big game.

Are we allergic to the black jersey?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,791 ✭✭✭✭Charlie19

May look for some far off distant running water for this game so don't have to listen to Gary Neville

Its showing on NBC. HD picture.

100% record when Michael Oliver refs our games.

    Hopefully this stat continues.

    Re:Matip.

There is no excuse for this. Put some lad in a plane, fly him to Cameroon, or Gabon or wherever with the relevant form, put it in yer man's hand with an envelope full of cash, and get it done.

Someone needs to tell Origi we're not the team in red today, he's giving away the ball every fúcking time!!!

Yeah but then giving it away! Just needs to brush up on his passing!

More frustatrating stuff from us at times. We've had a fair few games under Klopp where it's been like this - we've been so close to brilliant stuff but just cock it up in the finish.

They've been difficult chances to take but we've caught them out 2 or 3 times now with the press and failed to capitalise.

In the context of a game where we've been poor in open play those chances are vital. I hope we don't end up ruing having missed them in an hour's time.

He's raw still alright but he's involved in all the attacking play. And this type of game where work rate is more important, he's been very good. Could do with Firmino sparking up now 2nd half now.

Let's get it done 2nd half now. Big half

A win today and a real go at the title is definitely possible.

    Hit him again Bobby.

Wrecked... will take that. Missing 4 of our best players and we got a good result away. Bit gutted that their goal was offside but these things happen. Officials was a joke.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,404 ✭✭✭✭Vicxas

    Think TAA did really well.

    Happy enough with a point.

I think we take it Klopp doesn't trust some players.

    Typical everything goes against us.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,397 ✭✭✭✭Turtyturd

Would've took it at the the start as we were missing half our team but feels like a loss.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,983 ✭✭✭✭NukaCola

Reffing in the EPL is really starting to ruin games for me. So inconsistent.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 25,775 ✭✭✭✭kfallon

If it's borderline offside then some you get and some you don't. However the linesman's position for the goal was unbelievable, about 2-3 yards ahead of the play ffs

Ya it does right now but in the bigger scheme it's a good point

    Yeah, exactly this.

Don't normally complain about refs, but today was a special case of crap refereeing.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,438 ✭✭✭livinginkorea

Pity Klopp didn't use more subs...could have made a difference.

I am not bitter about the offside. Kinda expected it at this stage.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,068 ✭✭✭Tipsy McSwagger

Wijnaldum should stick to midfield the useless shyte

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,319 ✭✭✭emo72

Didn't see the match listened on the radio. Disappointed we didn't win. But thought we done well considering the last minute changes.

Ultimately a disappointing result, but would probably have taken a draw giving the injuries etc. Not much football on view, united very hard on the eye, Liverpool created some good chances on the counter. Coutinho made a big difference, Gigi very good if only he could finish. A word for TAA who settled well and had a good second half.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,740 ✭✭✭✭MD1990

Decent performance. Great to have Coutinho back. Should have won the game. Mane was a huge loss his pace would have been ideal. Matip another big loss & Clyne although Trent AA done very well.
Man Utd starting to get the decisions now after Mourinho's complaining.

Our defense did great for the vast majority of the game, if not all of it.

    Good point IMO

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,611 ✭✭✭✭ERG89

Missed Matip when they went hoofing it late on. His height could have been a difference. Did well considering all the injuries. Pity Coutinho wasn't able for 90 as we got at them handily enough with him on.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,953 ✭✭✭✭Osmosis Jones

Definitely would have taken the draw before the game, but it would've been a win if the linesman didn't have his eyes closed. I actually can't believe a team that has scored 3 offside goals in the past month can argue they go no decisions.

Disappointing finish as United had nothing about them. Switched off again for the goal :(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,347 ✭✭✭✭Grayditch

Shame we couldn't keep that out, but I'm very happy with how we played for the most part, we were the better side.

Can't believe how tame his shot was. Played well though

So that was the great in form Man Utd!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,366 ✭✭✭✭8-10

I think we take it Klopp doesn't trust some players.

Huh? Why would we be thinking that? We should have had enough to see it out but after the linesman's flag didn't come I don't think there was anything we could have done with the goal.

TAA was poor, Emre was great at times, frustrating at times (as usual). Coutinho I think would have come on at 60mins no matter what the score - I'm convinced that was predetermined

    And Mignolet was excellent overall
