Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Well that was a pile of sh1te! I can't really pick any player that played well but Firmino, Coutinho and Can have been particularly bad, I can't see why Klopp is persisting with this Axis of Ordinary in the middle, how many times do we need to see it to see it clearly does not work,Can needs to leave forward passing to anybody else, I really hope we're not waiting until 75mins plus before he makes a sub. Chelsea have schooled us there, just let us have the ball, we can't do anything with it.

Looking like a very unwanted record is going to happen unless something dramatic happens.

Need to get someone on Clattenberg, been central to everything for Chelsea.

Seems we did and he got booked for it

Can, hendo and Georgio don't work as a mid 3. Too slow in passing.

    They've been excellent.

We've been better than I feared and Chelsea have been poorer on the ball than I expected but the game has gone the way you might've expected.

Despite the dominance Chelsea look more threatening because you believe they'll actually put the chances away if they can just work a bit of space.

Still, but for a poxy goal we'd probably be level.
    Don't look like scoring though.

Chelsea didn't win a raffle to get on a record-equalling number of points.
Even on an off night they're tough. Hard to get going in midfield, they're well covered down the middle and they're getting through plenty of work out wide.

The conditions might favour us. A bit of broken play, a stray pass or some pressing could still yield a chance from nothing.

He's a better player than I think he realises.

I think we're lucky he realises he's as limited as he is.

He hasn't a notion what to do in the final third. He works well as pair with Mane but alone he's much less than half the sum of their parts.

Definitely not a free. Clattenberg is wide to Costa, but falling for everything from Hazard.

    Hopefully Luiz is done.

You just know if we did that he'd blow for it to be retaken.

Stop whinging about shyte and realise we have been beyond hopeless.

    F*cking backwards passing.
Mig was brutal for that, although I don't think that the ref should be blowing the whistle until we are set up. If he's not allowing a quick free, then the whistle should only blown when everyone is set up.

Pass the ball forward lads, we are just letting them reset each time.

Unless Klopp has a plan that he hasn't used with us against well drilled defensive teams then this is will not get any better. Maybe someone scores a screamer for us.

We were decent enough up til the goal where Mig decided to give Luiz a free shot.

If it was a Aurelio against Utd type jobbie where it's in the middle of the goal you might have a point but that's a tough shot to save whether or not the keeper's set.

  • Subscribers Posts: 32,855 ✭✭✭✭5starpool

Mignolet was stupid for the free, but even if he is set it was on the wall's side so he wouldn't have got there anyhow.

Especially if your keeper is not paying attention.

Mig was never getting there, even had he been set . Moot point .

As has been said already unless Klopp pulls an alternative game plan out of his japs eye we are losing this 2/3 nothing , getting done on the break forcing it

Regardless about the accuracy of the free kick, the fact that what have a keeper who's so utterly switched off so often beggars belief.

The way Luis took that early made it look like a different free kick than it was.

That's going in if he hits it like that. The circumstances don't matter.

You could see that he was walking towards someone talking to them, so he may have had a better position once set.....but in off the post is a tricky one to save.

Couldn't give a fcuk if it was going in anyway, disgraceful of a goalkeeper to not be paying attention after the whistle blows.

Mane for Can pronto please, with a ****ing cherry on the top.

Never a free kick in the first place, Mig could have had 3 years to set himself up for that and never save it though.

My opinion on Henderson doesn't change because of one pass

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 60,928 ✭✭✭✭Agent Coulson

Honestly what is the point to Clyne?

I am a fan of his and was delighted we signed him but he doesn't seem to do anything in this team.

500 times as many then? Equates to the difference in effectiveness between the two anyway, pal.
