Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'm being cliqued, but I'm the bad guy!

Ooh, can I be Kevin Nash? :)

Hendo always at his best when he's playing off the cuff and not having to think. He's such an instinctive player.

That's his best role just attacking off the cuff.

As a DM he has to think and he doesn't have that in him.

Just hope Liverpool stay calm and alert and don't caught on the counter.

They've done great to get back level.

Toby is definitely X-Pac after taking to many yokes.

    Do we have Reigns?

If Hazard fell over on his way off the pitch he'd have got a free.

    Overall not good enough .

Firmino with 2 chances. One a tap in.

Hoddle on BT Sport was sucking Chelsea cock all game

An important point for top 4 and to lift the gloom.
Mig contributed a brainfart, a penalty save and overall a credible performance.

    Arsenal lose and Spurs draw.

Not a bad night at the office at all :)

Huge point. Considering Spurs drew and Arsenal lost, absolutely Huge!

The ref was sh1t Liverpool looking a lot better and with Spurs drawing and Arsenal losing not a bad evening all round

    Good performance.

Solid at worst except Lovren and Firmino who were fairly pants.

Hendo couldn't quite find his passing range in the wet but overall he was outstanding.

We really looked gassed for the last 10 minutes though.

Much better 2nd half performance by the lads

    Will take that.

Good point for top 4 but might have just handed United the title.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,035 ✭✭✭✭J Mysterio

Henderson never will be good enough .

    Never

What are you on about. Hendo was my MoTM. He had an excellent game

Be delighted to have Coutinho, Mane and Firmino back up front again.

    FT 1-1

I'll take it, still undefeated against the current top 6.

While some will moan about Firmino, at least he is actually around to have the chance, he'll get plenty more. Who know we could even still the Fab Four all on the pitch at the same time next game and Can banished.

Matip was the proverbial curates egg tonight, a few good interventions but some sloppy football when under no great pressure. Mig atoned though maybe Costa's shot was just a bit central.

I'd swap Clyne and Milner at full back as then at least we'd have a decent cross from one flank.

    Satisfied with that.

I wish we had a keeper who stayed out of the headlines but fair play to Mig.

Title gone but we knew that.

Important to stop the rot and we actually can regroup now with a full squad.

lol........... Sturridge was slaughtered for missing the chances he was "around" for against S'ton and neither of them were approaching a tap in

To paraphrase someone on here tonight....
Lovren will never be good enough. Never.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,305 ✭✭✭Alonso77

Good point all things considered but mig and lovren need to shipped in the summer. Far too error prone for their respective positions

I only just noticed that it's deadline day!

I'm saying noting about the keeper other than than game some's him up perfectly

Lovren needs to be replaced by Sakho if he doesn't leave in the next hour or so. (I know I know it won't happen)

Clyne really doesn't do anything other than run up and down the pitch he doesn't assist and is caught out as many times in defence as Moreno is when ever he starts.

Henderson isn't a DM but he is stuck there for the rest of the season as Wijnaldum is Klopp's attacking midfielder and has been doing a great job in the role.

And we really need the front fab four on the pitch at the same time for the last 15 games.

Sturidge does literally nothing else. If he's not scoring goals, we're playing with 10 men. At least when Firmino has a bad day in front of goal, he's running his balls off, tackling, harrying, opening space with crossing runs etc.

He had a bad game, and on another day, could have had 2, but ill always have time for someone who leaves everything out on the field and works as hard as they can.

Did we get the extended warranty? If so, we should use the credit note on Van Dijk.

Good performance deserved to win, Firmino should have got 2.

Good opportunity for City and Utd to gain ground tomorrow night.

Not sure if Crouch or Carrol are fit though.

Lovren was poor alright.....I have been fairly happy with his improvement but looks like he wont be getting better, should be replaced as a starter in the summer I'd say.

People are blaming Mig for the sake of blaming him . You will see hundreds of keepers all over the world do what he done tonight setting up wall defence etc and nothing would ever come of it .

Regardless of him being ready or not he was never getting near that free kick .

I'd blame Lovren or others for mistakes giving away ball that led to the free in first place .

Lovren will never be good enough. Never.

I'd throw Lovren in for free for any team willing to pay £20m for Sakho in the next few hours.

He's stonewall useless. The worst signing since Aquilani. The fact he's still in the first 11 is a vert poor reflection on Klopp.

Overall, you have to be happy with that point tonight with Arsenal and Spurs dropping points.

There's going to be a fair few twists and turns left before the end of the season. First was never a possibility but I'd be very confident we'll finish in the top 3 this year.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,502 ✭✭✭✭martyos121

Don't think it's gotten as much attention as it deserved but fair play to Mig for the penalty save. Could be a huge point he gained us in the grand scheme of things.

Form is temporary. Just not being good enough to play for Liverpool is permanent.

Drawing at home to the likely Champions is a more than acceptable result. In the context of the season it sets things up nicely for the last 15 matches if the target now is Top 4.

The question is, of Spurs, Arsenal, City, and United, which two teams are we genuinely likely to be clearly better than over the next 4 months?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,983 ✭✭✭✭NukaCola

I'd say the reason people are blaming him is he was walking to the 6 yard box telling the defenders to push out as the ball was hitting the post and going in....

The part in bold is a ridiculous statement. Had it been a weak shot it would have gone in. The fact that it was well hit is not really the point.
