    This one has puzzled me for some time, and seems to becoming more and more prevalent. I have more or less stopped going to the pub, where it seems to be rampant, because of it. What is even more surprising, is how it seems to creeping into the work environment, particularly amongst the younger ones. Its rather off putting when you are working and some young one is literally assaulting some poor guy that way down the office. Some fellas seem up for it, but they seem the minority. Its how women assume everyone is game for it that is the bizarre bit. When did this become normal ?

    If you'd seen a mugging twenty years ago, would this thread be about "why are people allowed to mug people in the street"?

    Awww that's a bit harsh. Regardless of when something happened, if it stays with you it stays with you. Maybe the OP finally found a way to vent. It should never have happened to either of you. It is not right nor is it acceptable whether it's the 80s, 90s or today.

    Oh, I agree that it shouldn't have happened. What I'm mildly protesting is that from the title of the thread, you'd think there was a horde of women going around sticking their fingers up fellas' rear ends with the full backing of the law! I was thinking it was some dumb new facebook fad, like planking or getting naked on mountains.

    A girl approached my friend in the pub one evening, she said how would you feel about me putting my finger in your ass. It was really dark,

    He came over to me and explained the situation, so I said you need "safe" words, if you don't like it, make an animal sound, if you do, sing a song.

    He rambled back over to her and five mins later I heard him saying "moo, moooo, moooooo, Moon river..................."
