Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Colour of washing machine and tumble dryer

Very trivial question I was just thinking about. In the next few months I'll be looking at buying a new washing machine and separate tumble dryer. These will be going into a utility room as freestanding items, not integrated behind doors.

I was just taking a quick look online to get an idea of how much these things cost, and I noticed that there's a lot of colour options since the last time I bought - white, black, silver and graphite being the most common.

At the moment I'm thinking I'd just get white, as I may not be buying a matched pair, and white is easier to "match" than greys might be, for example.

Is there any good reason to go for a different colour in a utility room? If you had different shades of machines, or entirely different colours side by side, would it bother you?

Sounds like a 'First World Problem' if ever there was one.
A grey washer would be harder to resell if ever needed.

This chap has the right idea, a 'wash cycle'

Or more aesthetically pleasing is this one:

Absolutely - it's particularly trivial. I like the exercise bike idea!

I've never resold white goods - I keep them for a million years until they just don't work any longer.
