decent printer

what is a decent all in one printer i could get? mainly for written stuff but for scanning and printing the very odd photo

I tend to be wary of inkjets that come with a Black ink and a Colour ink cartridge. Because if (for example) the "yellow" ink runs out of the Colour cartridge in some cases it will say "You must now replace the entire Colour cartridge because you have no yellow ... even though you have plenty of Cyan and Magenta. The printer is dirt cheap ... the ink is more valuable than gold, saffron or diamonds. :eek: ... probably.

I personally prefer having separate cartridges for the individual colours and I wait until they run out completely before replacing. My Canon MG5350 could whinge about low ink levels for weeks before finally running out. The printer is a bit more expensive, but the running costs would be lower.

It is a good printer especially for the price but it would be more so designed for sporadic use rather than extensive printing and as someone else said you're better off buying a printer with 5 separate inks if you are printing a lot as you can replace each colour as it goes rather than the whole colour cartridge if just the yellow goes

yes but i wouldnt be using it all the time imight want to posters every so often but i could probably get them printed out at a chemist
