12V battery on Leaf runs down if charger lead left connected?

    It was claimed on FB , that a user ran down the 12V leaf battery by leaving the charge lead connected for 2 days but not charging

    This seems very strange !

    anyone any thoughts

    good idea , will leave it in tomorrow as car not being used , have done this before with no ill effects , i think its a MY13/14 issue ( as were many 12V issues (

    Has been known to happen The original 2011-13 Leaf. Not sure about the 2014+.

    Could be that something was left plugged in, light on etc.

    It's still a known issue on the Mk1 Leaf. The DC-DC converter that charges the 12V system is prevented from running while the on-board charger(s) (or rapid charger) are charging the traction battery.

    I think with the onboard charger(s) in the mk1.5 & 1.75 the issue is fixed. It's indicated in the service manuals that the third dashboard charging LED will flash on its own while the 12V is being charged.
