Can't help on the admin front but I know there were issues with sales people joining the group, might be worth a PM to someone in the group.

We got extra cobble to front and it worked out at about €60 per sq.m from memory.

Where was the last remaining unit in phase 1?

Only extras I got are mentioned a few comments above, builders more than flexible though.

Thanks, Middle/end of MH Road that's already completed and most people were already moved in, probably the cancelations.

In what stage of the process you would get the snag in to inspect the house?

Very nice. We only snagged about 3 weeks before closing. Then again twice between then and closing. Wasn't too much to be changed thankfully. Advice would be to get in ASAP to do it.

Thinking of put in a Gas hob/cooker in the house. I know the house/estate doesn't connect to the main gas pipe on the street, but did anyone put in or try to put in a gas hob/cooker in the house by using the bottle gas? like to know the price, comments and recommend anyone can do the job. Many thanks

    Hello,

Looking to buy in the newest phase (closer to the church). One thing I can’t get an answer on is how far back donnycarney wood is going too? There are a few south facing houses still available and it wudnt be ideal if the other estate builds a house right behind you. Also is there much choice with the kitchen supplier? I’m looking at one of the three beds.

    Thanks

    Hi Guys,

Great info here on new Maydenhayes development.

We are currently deciding between Cois Na Mara and Maydenhayes, but very hard to decide. Has anyone been in this situation? Cois Na Mara closer to shops etc, but Maydenhayes has it is own benefits too.

    Thanks in advance

Both good estates, cois na mara a longer walk to the Matthews bus, but closer to the beach. 3 beds and 4 bed semis a better layout in Maydenhayes but the detached in cois na mara are quite nice. Shop and cafe planning granted for the entrance to Maydenhayes and there's 4 new retail units going in around the corner. Maydenhayes is closer to the primary schools.

    Hi,

Thank you so much. It is very helpful!

Yes, I thought Maydenheys has the best 3 bed houses from what we viewed around the Bettystown/Mornington area.

I just wonder, how Matthews bus work - I would guess there would be a lot of people Bettystown village waiting while beside Maydenheys, it should be fine? If I am correct? Or there are couple of buses going at very similar or same time to ensure all people get on?

Would you travel to Dublin yourself using Matthews bus? How long would it approx take you to get there?

In terms of Maydenheys - having an option of Laytown and Drogheda station is quite good especially when there is not much distance.

Any more info will be very much appreciated.

    Thank you!

We considered both but couldn't get the master bedroom in the 4 bed semi in cois na mara to work, felt way too small in the showhouse with the fitted wardrobes.

Here over a year now and very happy with our decision, very cheap house to run with the heat pump, and block built, haven't heard our neighbours once.

In terms of the bus, does it fill up at the stop beside Maydenheys? Or there are couple of buses going at very similar or same time to ensure all people get on and there are no delays? Also, how is it returning back at peak hours? Is there a lot of waiting until it is possible to get on, or it's normal?

What was the main thing that you liked with Maydenheys that made you to go for it versus Cois na Mara? Was it mainly the layout, heating system and the room sizes?

Maydenhayes ) donacarney is only the second stop so there are always seats. A smaller bus generally follows if the service is oversubscribed. It's worth doing a dummy run and getting the bus up and back some day from both stops on a busy weekday. You will always manage to get a bus back, they have a second bus parked around the corner at all times from memory just in case it's full. Traffic can be bad getting out of the city but once you're at Whitehall it's normally only a half hour / 35 mins to get back.

There is free parking in laytown near the train station and Drogheda train station is only 6/7 minutes drive away either. Guaranteed seats from both stations if commuting that way.

The main decider was the internal Layout and the estate just felt nice, and the builders are flexible so you can spec out the house with options and move things around etc.

    Hello,

Thanks for all the info here. Very helpful!

Can you also please tell us what extras they provide and what would you reccommend of getting to avoid hassle in the future? E.g Truss attic , annex or it is too expensive and it is better to get at later stage?

What is included in the purchase price? Is appliance or flooring included?

    Thanks a lot in advance

    Hello,

How is everyone finding commuting? How long does it usually take to reach city centre in the morning and how long to come back during peak hours?

Also, what travel is like after peak hours?

Is Mathews bus is easiest and quickest option?

    Thank you

If you are just aiming to get to the Northside of the city centre the Matthew's bus is better but if you need to go over towards Pierce or that the train is better.
Both take roughly the same time about 1 hr but with the Matthew's you don't have the extra charge of parking your car.

This is absolutely fine. Living 15-20km from City Centre, usually takes more than an hour with the bus during peak hours. Of course, depending on also specific location.

How long would it take outside of peak hours? Would it be around 35mins?

    Thanks

Rafters in Balbriggan are very good and well priced, only one negative is i would put the skirting back on myself as their installer just lashes them back up but the job on the floors is great. Still going well 4 years later.

    Hi,
Id highly recommend FLOORSTYLE DROGHEDA 041-9835556. We were looking for someone with experience who would remove and put back on the skirting and they did this.
We have laminate everywhere with carpet on stairs. Really great job and all done in 1 day. Over 3 years later and still perfect.
Good luck in your new home!

We had to wait nearly a year and a half to get a wired internet. It was a mess.

Internet is good now, you can get the fastest internet. All the companies use eir's lines so it doesn't matter what provider you go with. Some have gone with Siro which would give you the best speeds

To be honest we were with Vodafone first but the internet upstairs was awful. To be honest I think it was the faulty router because other ppl have no issues with it. Then we went with Eir as we got a very good deal and the internet is perfect everywhere in the house.

So I would just go with whoever gives you the best deal- we have 150mbps at the moment which is fine tbh and we have 4 adults sharing the wi fi.

The only thing is that we can't get Virgin media internet. Not yet :)

I would recommend SIRO if it's available for you and have the router at your tv in the living room. avoid EIR ad their customer service is awful. It depends on the router how strong the signal is, you can always add on a cheap wifi extender if needs be.

this looks super fast!! rates look decent! we are currently with virgin and they started off good but every year they try to get cheeky so we are always negotiating
