I have recently noticed that a newly-established food company has placed its advertisements on the public pavements in Rathmines by means of some sort of imprinting technology. The name of the company is thereby visible, on the surface of the pavement, to walkers every few yards.

Does anyone know if a company needs (or can get) permission from Dublin City Council to do this, and if so, whether it was obtained in this case?

They jet wash it on. Others have done same on private walls even others went to the extreme putting up signs and even stickers on private bins.

They actually clean the footpath with a jetwash. Give it it enough time, and it will be dirty again!
