JJ Kavanagh runs a bus (route 717) from Woodstock Close in Athy that passes through Naas daily

Leaves Athy at 07:00 and arrives in Naas circa 7:35

Its the Dublin Airport-Clonmel-Dublin Airport Route

Only problem is there is nothing really suitable for the way back to Athy

Not that I can see at least

    Cheers Lex

I checked that and seen there's nothing back.. and train could work if he didnt have to work weekends which he does.. plus it nearly €70 a week ! really is shocking the public transport unless you live in the cities...

They run one service each way under contract to Transport For Ireland, times are no use for OP though.

TfI also contract another once a day service from Bus Eireann.

Not much use to OP either, 10.40am departure from Naas.

If he got a taxsaver ticket it would be a lot cheaper than that for the train - he would still have to sort out the weekends though.

Here are the rates for point-to-point ticket https://www.taxsaver.ie/Ticket-Types/Rail-point-to-point-tickets/

It only lists them to/from the main destinations but if you contact them they will give a quote for one from Athy to Naas/Sallins. Bear in mind the train station isn't really in Naas at all though

Thanks for that, but he decided to move as it wasn't visible, with times that come the weekend he was totally buggered... shame really... ah well just have to search for a new flat mate...
