Grainne Maguire. up and coming on the circuit in England, but dreadful. I don't know what it is about the english finding painfully unfunny irish comedians to be hilarious. her accent grates, she seems to be over enunciating every letter when she speaks but that's on top of her crap humour, like a schoolkid doing the intro to a play for the parents
she was on last weeks 'The Now Show' podcast, and this weeks 'Remainiacs' podcast if anyone wants a shyte start to the weekend.

She was on BBC Question time about a year ago and was painfully unfunny. I felt sorry for her. Clips from there show can be found on YouTube.

Exactly ,this is the thread I thought of while watching it.

She's a couple of years left before she can call herself a comedian, though if she said she was a comedian out loud it prob be her funniest gag.

I saw a bit of it-And I was like 'okay, this explains so much'. She's still not funny.

She was on the Late Late Show tonight.Cringeworthy,dire,awful,puke,embarrassing.

Shes terrible. As funny as cancer. As I said before must have a Harvey story againt top brass in RTE to warrant her own show.
The thought of Tubs fawning over her "groungbreaking" show is naueseating.

I hate the way these "edgy" or "feminist" type comedians see themselves as that when truth is they are as dull as dishwater and sanitized and politically correct to a point of irony.
As mentioned most cant even accept youtube comments without deleting them or blocking them. Pretty pathetic.

Wonder is this Porter business going to be as bad as its being reported

He's said he is on a feminist mission to do all the bad things to men that they have been doing to women. This was the main quote from him in a recent newspaper piece.

I saw John Colleary live once in the stags head and my face hurt from laughing.
Truly brilliant, one of the best I've ever seen.

I saw Andrew Stanley also and he didn't have any preprepared material and just riffed with the audience and it was impressive.

Almost no one laughed. The one loudly laughing guy who sticks out like a sore thumb must be her agent or boyfriend.

So he's giving himself an excuse and a pass to be a disgusting creep?

Why are comedians always politically correct trendies?

Why are comedians always politically correct trendies?

because if they are not and say something a bit 'off' they get lambasted.

His 'statement' is the most appalling one I've read issued by an Irish 'personality' ever. 'Decades in the entertainment industry'-you're 24. 'Part of his act'-yeah, I'm sure everyone goes to a night out to be entertained, then get groped and forcibly fondled under their underwear...when they are nowhere near the stage, but actually in a toilet and in a bar. But sure, it's all part of the 'craic'.
And that's not counting the psychiatric patient he's alleged to have fondled...but sure, 'all part of his act'...yeah, and people wonder why we hate this guy-before this crap. (Comedians hate him because he steals jokes too).
