Apps to accept card payments

We sell certain products for the home, and deliver them locally. We don't have a depot or store, only delivery is available. We take orders by email and by phone.

Currently we have no way to accept card payments. We need a solution to accept them over the phone and also in person (at the customers home).

Is there any single service that provides both of these functions?

Right now I'm thinking the best bet might be https://sumup.ie/ for in person card payments, and http://paymentsense.ie/virtual-terminal/ for over the phone payments.

It would be great to have one service which could handle both though. Our business is very low volume, family run, and requires only part time work - so keeping expenses down by having one card service rather than two, would be great.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks!

Unless you're wanting to sign up to minimum terms then that sort of set up is what you're looking at. I'd go with stripe instead of paymentsense though if you do go with separate options. You could just go with paymentsense for both but I think that's likely to work out more expensive although it does depend on revenue.

Stripe and the pay now app should do everything for you. https://paynow-app.com

Stripe is excellent. Disburse to your bank in 7 days

Have to say I use Stripe and I find the seven day delay a bit hard to swallow. At some point I will move away from Stripe unless they cut that time for us in Ireland like they have for their US customers.

According to a pal of mine who uses sumup, it takes two days for the payment to reach his account... Seven days is a bit long....

I used to use syspay they were next working day was handy for cashflow. That's another option worth looking at for the terminal.

Realex payments is the way to go, imo.

I've been looking for a mobile payment method. That PayNow from Stripe looks foolproof and nearly too easy to sign up to considering what you'd expect from a bank. Going to give it a bash for a few months and see what the customer reaction is.

Anyone had a negative feedback from customers when you hand them your phone to make a card payment?
