Question for double Liverpool midfield owners...are you planning on keeping two for the next few weeks?

With the recent trend of teams parking the bus I think the days of multiple mega hauls may be over. Have had Mané and Lallana/Firmino pretty much all season which has been fairly successful but Mané in particular seems to struggle in tight games.

Looking at Lovern in for Fuchs and maybe Mané out for Walcott/Ozil. Or possibly the more nuclear option of Hazard out for Sanchez.

2 FTs coming so it looks like Allen, Coutinho & Lukaku out for Siggy, Sanchez and Anichebe (4.9 or less.

That'll leave me with pretty close to my ideal attacking lineup.

    Sanchez, Hazard, Pedro, Mane, Siggy
    Aguero, Bentekkers, (Anichebe)

    Thinking
    Hazard and Coutinho out

    Sanchez and Pedro in

Would like to get rid of Gundagen but I can't spend another day like day behind the couch fearing Sanchez.

Thinking Coutinho, Lukaku and Benteke out for Sanchez, Kane and Anichebe.

Will leave me a front line of
    Sanchez, Hazard, Firmino, Walcott Clayton
    Kane, Aguero, Anichebe

Can rotate Anichebe and a fourth def, depending on fixtures

Oh I like that strong front 6.
Anicebe would really free up funds for my MF. My head may have been turned.

    Considering something quite radical here:

    Lukaku out.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 48,335 ✭✭✭✭km79

Prob gonna do what it takes to get Kane in ahead of those 3 juicy home games
StartIng with next week and I d prob captain him

Somehow in 3 weeks I've gone from being quite happy to wanting to ditch half my team.... Deeney, Gundog, Coutinho, Lukaku being the top 4, and I still don't have Alonso :(

    2FT and will probably take a -4

Lukaku has got to go now for me!! Is Charlie Austin a good shout at the moment?

Lukaku and Firmino out Costa and Siggy in

He may not start the midweek PL match coming up in a fortnight or one match in the festive period, but I think he's the best budget striker. Getting so many shots on target, could easily have had a brace today and against Hull. Great fixtures too

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,844 ✭✭✭Cartman78

Probably need some informed advice on this one...

Haven't had Arsenal coverage for a few weeks now and it really came back to bite me today.

Considering Hazard to Sanchez and Fuchs to cheapie Boro defender for yet another hit. Not too bothered about the hit at this stage and really want to get the Fuchs out. Have Costa for Chelsea coverage and sense that Hazard may be entering a bit of a lull.

Feedback extremely welcome...funds very tight so may need to pull trigger asap

Anyone have any reason to stop me doing Lukaku to Kane?

I think i'll bring in Kane for the next few weeks and reassess after that!

I know this has been asked before but it's something I always forget!! Say I bought lukaku at 9.0, current value is now 9.8 so value in my team is 9.4. If lukaku drops to 9.7, does he drop in my team to 9.3??

I've taken -24 over the previous 2 GW's and the intention was to set me up for next 5-8 GW's.

I fully expected to bank over next 2 GW's barring injury and would've used FT's for cleaning up my bench rather than lose them. Really happy with my team right now and there is nobody I want to get rid of with Walcott being the only one under scrutiny and he is easily replaced with Pedro, Siggy, Mata or Ramsey if needs be.

    Heaton, Pickford

    Alonso, Holebas, Brunt

Hazard, Walcott, Firmino, Coutinho for (Mane or Pedro)

    Aguero, Kane, Austin

    Amat, Kingsley, Fletcher

The only place I could possibly spend the 1.9 would be Austin but I like his fixtures.

I've quite a similar team and took a few hits lately to get it (-24 over 5 weeks).

    Karius/Pickford
    Brunt, Cedric, Holebas, Amat, Cameron
    Sanchez, Hazard, Firmino, Snodgrass, Capoo.
    Aguero, Kane, Austin.

I'm tempted to go the same way and drop Sanchez to Theo, or Haz to Pedro to enable a bettee balanced midfield and fit in Siggy who I always wanted from GW15 and now cant afford due to Kane.

Is Walcott gonna continue to be nailed I wonder? As if so I think sacrificing Sanchez, with a 'Winter Break' on the horizon, and enabling upgrading Snoddy and Holebas to Siggy and Alonso for example, would be worthwhile.

I don't think Sanchez, Aguero, Kane and Haz in the same team is sustainable coming into Xmas. Anyone think different?

I can get all 4 next week if I sell Kane for zaha
I'm really not sure about that though as it leaves me with 2 cheap mids and no flexibility
I have to upgrade bony soon though and he is dropping tonight
Burnley at home next though ..........Spurs have Swansea though .......could do coutinho to alli.........aaaaggggghhgggghhhh

Sanchez will miss one PL match max in Dec and Jan unless he gets injured. He's vital for us

Probably do Wilson to Austin but getting Kane in is tempting me

Yeah Hazard to Pedro is another strong option I think.

Having all 4 leaves defence a bit light and 4th and 5th mids weak for Xmas rotation issues.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,788 ✭✭✭Benimar

    Current team is:

    Cech, Jakupovic
    Alonso, Lovren, Holebas, Evans, Amat
    Firmino, Ozil, Coutinho, Allen, Capoue
    Aguero, Lukaku, Defoe

I'm normally very reluctant to take hits, but 76 points overall in the last 2 weeks makes me feel I need to shake things up.

Are either of these worth the hit(s) or am I just full of rage after a bad week?

    1. Ozil, Coutinho & Lukaku to Walcott, Hazard and Kane for -4
    2. Ozil, Coutinho, Lukaku and Defoe to Sanchez, Pedro, Kane and Austin for -8?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,054 ✭✭✭wanderer100

Guys, 1 FT and I need to get rid of Lukaku, Fuchs and most likely Coutinho as well!!!

Who deserves the boot out this week?? Lukaku is my pick and I'm vary he is going to drop very soon, possibly even tonight. Just want some more opinions!!!!

Will Theo stay in the team u think? If so he's a viable alternative and the cash would bring a chance of significant gains elsewhere.

Stoke the likeliest rest for Alexis perhaps?

I'm hoping to bank it this week anyhow as he'll definitely play vs WHU.

Some Sunday night pondering has me thinking this for -4:

    Lukaku -> Kane
    Walcott -> Pedro
    Williams -> Cedric

It leaves 0.0 in the bank though so would need to do it tonight and a week is a long time in FPL.

Firminho yellow flagged is also a concern.

Theo will stay in the team for the short to medium term at least. Today's lineup with Iwobi or Ox on the left should be Wenger's preferred lineup.

If Sanchez plays against Basel, I wouldn't be surprised to see him benched against Stoke. But in the past, Wenger has put out the reserves in these types of matches where 1st in the group is possible but unlikely. Palace H on 1 Jan looks like a prime Alexis rest match

Firminho yellow flagged is also a concern.

There was better news for Klopp with regards to Roberto Firmino, who suffered a kick to the calf against Sunderland. The forward will not require a scan in that injury, with the problem not thought to be serious.

I think Sanchez will get his rest after man city away DEC 18 and the game he may miss is wba at home DEC 28. It gives him a nice break and its the type of game giroud cud be useful in.

Good to see the Pedro train is starting to take off.

Cout, blind and Deeney out,kun Capoue Brunt in, dont usually react so quick so nearly guaranteed to have 2/3 more flagged by next weekend

Kane and Hazard in for Aguero and Coutinho.

Aguero out is a wrench but allows me get Kane this week and Costa next week for their good runs of fixtures. Once Chelsea's run is over can get rid of Alonso and Costa and get Sergio back.

Deeney to Negredo is likely and perhaps Cedric for a hit.

I like option 2 more than option 1 - I think Sanchez is essential and they have a decent run of fixtures coming up. Austin is a great cheap option up front and Pedro is just Hazard-lite and all of the same impact

Well Coutinho definitely drops tonight and hes unlikely to be playing any football for the foreseeable future. At least Lukaku is still playing football and if you're not taking any hits, then ship ot the guy whos not playing football.

Thanks, I'm leaning the same way. I think Sanchez is more essential than Hazard.

I like Defoe but need the transfer to Austin to fund the rest...unless I do Cech to Forster?

Zaha, Allen or Moses for 4th mid next few weeks?

    Coutinho to:

    B - Pedro
    C - Alli

think getting rid of Aguero is madness, 5 goals and assist in last 4 games.
Aguero is a season keeper and will always punish those who get rid of him.

Such a coin toss as to which player to downgrade. I would have said Sanchez but Giroud's injury means he will stay up top and I do think Walcott is a first 11 player, in Wengers eyes, but he does get taken off later in games.

Think I'd favour going Hazard to Pedro if I had the choice again.

don't see the love for Theo or Ali at all,
Pedro I believe is value as long as he keeps his place.
Son is better value than Ali

Zaha is on some run, perhaps might be late to the party - but he's got an assist In each of the last 5 games + a goal. Going for Zaha also free's up funds if you want a stronger strike force.

    Michael Dawson or Erik Pieters?

Mid term defensive option. Or anyone under 4.5 that isn't Swansea or Watford or Evans?

Dawson has potential goals while Pieters could have clean sheets.

Since Coutinho is injured then him obv, Lukaku is fire/ice type player - could go out and get a hattrick next week.

Not Moses cause he uses a Chelsea spot you may need later (for e.g. Alonso, Pedro/Hazard & Costa) and plays in the wrong OOP and his goal this week-end is like WBA's Fletcher one last GW.
Zaha has better mid-term fixtures than Allen.

Alli has 3 great home fixtures in the next 4. Walcott is more a long term prospect. Pedro would double Chelsea away to City.

I'm facing a similar conundrum to help out my missus. She just has Sanchez for your Firmino. With Firmino uncertainty, I'm thinking of a Spurs mid for those fixtures. Getting Kane sounds better but it'd require a £5.1m mid and she already has DeRoon.
Now it's Alli, Eriksen or Son...

BTW, why Alli gametime was managed in his last couple of games? Is he back from injury? Rotated because of EL?

Fabio for boro - hull up next, attacking type player so may get offensive returns as well.
