Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Manchester United have lost just two out of 23 previous meetings with West Ham at Old Trafford, winning 20 of them.

David De Gea is expected to be back in the starting lineup after being rested for the Europa League match in the mid-week. Central defensive duo of Chris Smalling and Eric Bailly, who are out with injuries to their knee and toe, are unavailable for the game, which could see Jose Mourinho keep the entire back four from the mid-week Europa league game against Feyenoord.

Elsewhere, Michael Carrick may be rested and Ander Herrera is likely to be called upon. Wayne Rooney was exceptional on Thursday and could make his way back into the starting lineup while Henrikh Mkhitaryan is likely to be on the bench, despite a strong showing in the mid-week game.

Juan Mata’s form means that he is almost a guaranteed starter while Mourinho would face the dilemma of choosing between the likes of Martial, Rashford, Lingard and Depay to deploy at the right wing, with Mata likely to be deployed on the left.

Andy Carroll is in line for a shock return for West Ham.

The striker only resumed training this week following his latest injury lay-off, a three-month absence with a knee problem.

But manager Slaven Bilic is considering including the 27-year-old in his squad at Old Trafford as he bids to turn around their stuttering season.

"He's been training with us for three days," said Bilic. "He came back after a long injury and he's very close.
"He could be in the squad. We're going to see, because we are not talking about two weeks of training so we can say definitely. It has been this week, so we'll see."
West Ham captain Mark Noble returns from suspension but defender Winston Reid serves a one-match ban.

Nobody is complaining about Rooney being dropped to the bench... tbh his level just isn't as a PL starter anymore

    Scrap the cap!

    Schweinsteiger on the bench too.

The best paid subs bench in history?

We'd want to score a few today because that doesn't look like a side that will keep many clean sheets.

Shocking back four (well three of them) for such a massive moneytastsic club.

Which 3? Valencia is probably the second best rb in the league atm, Darmian is a full Italian international, Jones is very good but just can't stay fit. Rojo is the weak link but he's been very good of late.

Valencia is the one who escapes my wrath! The rest are utterly average.

None of the others are first choice.

I think the back 4 is fine. It's the lack of any defensive minded player ahead of them that concerns me.

  • Can somebody PM what non-uk channel this is on (Bein Sports?)

I dont think leaping out of the way of someone coming in to take your legs off is simulation. Fair enough not giving the free but the card is harsh
