Googled Smith to see his best results in majors and his wiki page provided a chuckle or 2

    C'mon Wadey!

Smith gone to pieces, any time be seen him under pressure he hasn't been great

His demeanour is brutal. A few legs away from the next round and any missed dart and he looks like crying instead of gritting his teeth and making it happen.

    Some turnaround.

Wade is some man to grind it out.

Class stuff by Wade the last few sets.

    Really like Wade.

Fantastic attitude, looked dead and buried but never gave up.

He won't, but I'd love him to win it

    TbL

That was some of the best darts I've ever seen. How many legs in a row did he win? He did it with so much ease despite being on the brink.

  • Registered Users Posts: 21,625 ✭✭✭✭Johner

That was some finish from Wade, ruthless.

Well deserved as Smith fell apart. A great fightback but Wade was handed some legs on plate.

Delighted for Wadey but Smith was absolutely toxic in the last two sets

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,625 ✭✭✭ThebitterLemon

Yea but Wade kept up the pressure and never gave up, the young lad should learn a lot from that loss

    TbL

Thanks for the virtual fiver gramar, I'll bet you another one that Taylor wins?

Lol at part there when asked if he had any advice for gurney with the crowd "get a different sport"!

Not a big fan of hyubrechts but would love if he whitewashed Taylor tonight.

Smith could certainly do with slowing down a tad.

They're pure savages but you have to work with them not against them.

It didn't help that Gurney was taking his time on the doubles. Gave the crowd a chance to get on his back.

Wright is playing such solid stuff.

Wade vs Snakebite is going to be a belter

Wade will need to be at the very top of his game to even compete.

He's not a heavy enough scorer vs the very top guys. Has to rely on big checkouts to stay in games and only a certain amount of those go in.

I know White isn't putting up much of a fight here, but Wade would struggle against Snakebite with the way he's playing here.

I may have spoken too soon... Wright going through a very rocky patch all of a sudden.

Wade is such a grinder that it'll be an intriguing match. Agree though, hard to see him stay with Snakebite if he is on the form he showed early on in the match. Wright and Anderson have looked sharpest imo so far without being pushed that hard.

C'mon Phil... I still prefer him to MVG. I know I know, probably doesn't make sense but MVG just annoys me with his antics after each throw.
