Taylor dipping a little here, could be running out of steam......

He'll finish the job but it seems that a lot of players get to 3 nil or 3 - 1 and start faltering slightly.

Ooh Kim didn't like that celebration did he? :p

Made it far harder on himself in the end but fair play Phil.

Set play rules. Makes for brilliant games.

Where's he going with the board? There's another match on.

Phil looked really good early on but he fairly tailed off. He may beat Barney but I can't see him living with an Ando, van Gerwen or even Wright in the longer format.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,133 ✭✭✭Stevecw

Got there in the end, but hopefully Barney will have enough in qf. Hard one to call though, should be good.

Kim did well to hang in there.

Taylor played much better than I thought early doors though.
He will beat Barney if he plays that well again.

Taylor always gives the board away to a fan. They change it after every game anyway

Want Barney to beat him, but if I had a spare ton I'd put it on Phil.

So MVG to run away with this now?

What an absolute prick Phil is. Mardle is being a pro here.

This is why Taylor is hated
What a tool he is in an interview

Phil is so horrible but I ended up rooting for him there

Phil could give diplomacy a miss when he hangs up his darts.

    Is Phil pissed?

Just won't let anyone finish a sentence. Horrible man.

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,033 ✭✭✭✭Richard Hillman

Bizarre. He wasn't even baiting him.

Do people complain about the Artist?

He asked what I thought was a normal question and he just flipped

Exactly, Phil just heard what he wanted to hear there.

Taylor acted the tool, but Mardle knew what he was doing. Phil also answered that question after the Painter game.

Everyone knows the issues Taylor and Painter have too.

    Pure tabloid stuff.

Phil takes the bait every time, but it was not professional on Mardle's part.

I think Sky are too afraid of Phil to call him a bellend. Best dart player ever but....

What happened in the interview? Switched over after the match.

Phil was poor against Kevin Painter and Mardle simply asked him what was different tonight as he played so well. Taylor should remember Sky Sport have put a hell of a lot of money in his pocket and he should have a bit of cop when interviewed.

Usual Taylor interview. Seems a very insecure man for someone so undeniably successful. Few skeletons in that closet I'd say

He said 'you seemed relaxed tonight, and in your first match'. He then asked why he didn't seem comfortable against Kevin.

He knew what he was doing.

It doesn't excuse Taylor, but Mardle definitely laid the bait.
